Laguna Seca Boss 302

Bluerauder

CAMaraudin' in Virginia
Just came from the dealer after getting my annual safety inspection done.

They had a brand new Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca limited edition on the floor. Black with red stripes and accents. Even red wheels. The car is beautiful; but .......Was MSRP'd at $48.5K with GET THIS ...... a $51K limited edition mark-up/market adjustment. How many of these were made? Less than 10 ??

That's right .... a Mustang for $99.5K. Wonder how long that one will sit on the showroom floor.

Time to start adding a "limited production" mark-up on the Marauders. I think $3-5K should be reasonable. Right? ;)

Yeah that limited mark up is just plain robbery! Down my way the call it "fair trade" adjustment and it was "standard" on all lightning to the tune of 5K...But 51K in todays market? Yeah good luck with that.

They WILL sell.

Yes probably ... but it will sit for awhile. The same dealer had a Ford GT supercar marked up to $168K. Titanium with white stripes. That one sat on the showroom floor with the velvet ropes around it for more than a year. It eventually sold to a guy in London.

BTW -- video added to post one to show the Boss 302 Laguna Seca.

They had one of these at the Carisle All-Ford Nationals... it was in the Ford Performance show area. They had it on a rotisserie so you could see it from underneath including the exhaust system with the special side exhaust cut outs to make a sorta quad exhaust system...

I believe it is Davesvt2000. Order was due in June 2011 (mentioned in some March threads). Maybe we can get an update.

Still waiting, and waiting, and waiting..

Apparently my dealer had one allocation

taken away due to production delays/parts shortages/Japan, etc etc.

My car is now a 4th quarter build in Oct, with a Nov. delivery.

(Originally had 2 LS' coming, mine second qtr, and one in the fourth qtr)

Great, just in time to put it away for the winter :censor:

This info was confirmed to me by two highly reliable sources of mine

inside Ford, so I know it's not dealer BS. Just sucks, I was hoping to

have my car by now. But, for sticker price, no mark up, I guess it's

worth the wait, esp. after hearing stories like the one above.

Charlie that's why you come see me, we don't charge after dealer limited production blah blah mark ups. Still be cheaper coming to NY and driving her back. :D

Ford should limit these dealers from this sort of crap! They price these cars to be attainable to the average guys. BS

The dealers lick their chops when they see a rare car that is in high demand.
Then they start their 'ADP' bull$h*t!

(Additional Dealer Profit)

I love when those rapists get caught holding the bag.

There was a Ford dealership in the Gaithersburg area that had a 2008 GT500KR Shelby on the showroom floor for close to $100,000.....
They couldn't sell it (imagine that!) and last time I was over there, they still had it for sale, but now it was at MSRP.

Ha Ha douchebags!.......

With the new Shelby GT500s having an killer aluminum block and 50+ more horsepower.....who wants a 3 year old car at MSRP???

Serves them right.

BTW Charlie, I saw that exact color/model BOSS 302 on a car carrier the other day....WHAT A SWEET RIDE!!!...

Went to Ford Dealer in New Orleans and they had a Boss 302 on the showroom floor. Silver with Orange hood, top and trunk. 48K with NO dealer markup. Anyone want it?

The Laguna Seca version is why the mark up was so high. Regular Boss302s aren't getting as high of mark ups
