    2004 MM inside tire wear

So...I've found the carfixer's specs here: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showpost.php?p=211998&postcount=11 ...but all the discussion I see seems to reference 2k3 MM's. I have a 2k4 that is chewing the hell out of inside tires...only became my daily driver in the last year though...so...

For Sale wheels, control arms, coil covers

Argh!! If you change your mind...LMK. It would've been ideal though if I could've gotten the wife to sign off...as I'll be back in IL next weekend and be driving back to AZ...so I could've taken them with. Otherwise I'll have to have someone else get them and they'll probably sit until...

Did you buy your Marauder New or Used?

Ordered and bought mine new in '04. Just turned 25,000 miles on it this month.

For Sale wheels, control arms, coil covers

You still have the wheels? I've had a couple unfortunate incidents in the last couple of months that have my right front rim not looking very pretty. Would love to get my hands on a replacement. While I've moved from IL to AZ recently...I do have family in IL still and will be out there in a...

    Belt Squeal not covered?!?!

That's the thing I noted...no one actually answered your question about whether or not it was covered...I'd be curious too....I know not myself.

    I'm blessed!

I never got a letter...but I did actually listen to an add for Green Chevrolet in Peoria, IL...they advertised invoice value on trade-in on cars within the last 10 years. I was like "ok, we'll bite"...so we stopped in w/ the '96 T-Bird. Suddenly there are "age deductions" and "mileage...

Black 03 MM in Charlotte 1784 miles

It's not completely outrageous, but it's practically brand new price for a car that is only practically brand new. You wouldn't be able to sell it for that price after driving it off the lot initially. ...and until the majority of ours are fetching "rare" car prices...that's probably a few...

the one car you miss the most

Should be able to still get a reasonably built up TH350 for about $4-500. Sorry to hear you got screwed on that rebuild. That sucks. I've always found finding a good trans guy is difficult...... That just seems too nice a body...esp. if it just needs a trans...to discard.

Black 03 MM in Charlotte 1784 miles

Yeah...I paid about $30K for mine w/ a dealer incentive and discount through my company...and I'd ordered it brand new in Jan. of '04, got the moon roof and 6-disc changer options. Took delivery in March (might have ordered it in Dec...thought it was Jan though). That was brand new, ordered...

the one car you miss the most

Yeah...doesn't surprise me that those of us who like fast boats like the Marauder would like a G-Body too. ;) The G-body's are awesome because you can do almost anything w/ them...and they drive nice, handle pretty well, and are just all around nice and comfy cars. ...and they look sharp too...

    Another tire thread...

Thanks for the input. This time around I'll probably just order the BFG's and see what's out and about the next time I turn them into slicks. I'll have to get a little more loife out of these though...the wife looks disapprovingly at the rate I ate these up...... *sigh*

MM sitting, getting ready for restart

Oh...the battery has been long dead. Sucks too...I need to figure out the beltminder disable code again. For my '04, it's not the same as documented, it's the one for the Grand Marquis (along w/ the documented front-end alignment specs also being incorrect). So pulling the fuse on the fuel...

the one car you miss the most

Nice Monte SS. That's what I always wanted when I fell in love w/ my Regals. Love those GM G-Body's. You have a nice one there and one that was more than just a run of the mill Monte, GP, Cutlass, or Regal. Unless you are planning on picking up some other classic of some sort or another MM...

    running 150 MPH bad??

While I agree Hotrauder's post was hilarious...I'm surprised to find such objection to using a muscle car as a muscle car...and giving it a serious beating. ;) Although I will say...having hit the +150 myself in an '86 Mustang GT that hadn't had it's control arms, etc. upgraded from stock yet...
