Alot of places don't update their exchange often around here. I'd stick with the bank for exchanging it imo...

555's are a good street tire imho. I had a heck of a time with traction with them on the track though for some reason, but they stuck good on the street, go figure...

Make sure to get print outs with your name or car on them with before and after specs. If they can't/won't do it, find another shop...

Most places around here will give you squat for US $, so you'd be much better off imho getting CDN $ before hand or as others mentioned from the bank/machine as you'd get the best rates...

When I did the core in '79 Merc I used foam tape (sticky one side) and it seemed to work good for the 5-6 years from when I did it to ditching the car. It's closed cell so should last a long while...
