You might be right... I just picked up a rubber mallet, gave them a few hits and you can hear some noise like something's loose inside. The noise isn't from the heat shields, I've given hits while holding the heat shields and it makes the same noise. What do you think...

Swapped the rear air suspension for P71 grade coil springs and threw in some new HD shocks. When I got the car, it was flat on its ass on 18 yo tires. Compressor is shot too and it would be too costly to replace and install everything. Maybe one day, but right now I just want it to grace these...
