re: Not a Marauder, but not bad at all

With this new knowledge that a DOHC 5.4L can in fact fit with very little mod to the engine bay and this potentially coming out next year http://departmentofboost.com/products/lightning_F-150_99-04/lightning_4v_R_intake_manifold.htm and being able to work with our cylinder heads seems like we...

    4l80e transmission question..

$1500 is a lot for a 6R80 out of an F150. The more than likely range you would be paying for one is between $500(higher miles) and $1000 (lower miles) with some extremely low miles one in the area of $1500. You also forgot to add in the price of the driveshaft which was around $1050 for me...

    4l80e transmission question..

I would honestly just go with the 6R Seneca. the controller is out, it bolts right up and has been proven to handle A LOT of power in its stock form so no need to spend money on building one after getting it and it has 2 extra gears.

What did you do to your car today?

I do not, and from what I remember reading the Gen 2s (and more than likely the Gen 3s) were a bit more difficult getting to work in a stand alone form. But with time they will start showing up in junkyards and being that ford put them in the F150 their will be plenty. There is just too much...

What did you do to your car today?

Basically finished combining the Coyote PCM with the Marauder engine harness Got the stock transmission crossmember to work perfectly with 6R80 And installed the bracket I made to utilize the Mustang Accelerator Pedal. (My mini saw broke mid way through and and I had to improvise) but it...

    2.9 Whipple Gen3 vs Vmp tvs 2.65 Gen(2650)?

E85 and going for kill I would have to say go with the 2.9. The crusher being worth it is a toss up IMHO. With that being said, the reliability of an Eaton, it being the torque monster that it is even on pump(although I’ve yet to see any data on the 2.65 on a 4.6L) and the the fact that you can...
