Custom hood comittment to buy poll.

^^^ Exactly what he said. I can commit now, but maybe not in the future, so let us know, if you can, approximately when these would be for sale. I too am also interested primarily in the dual scoop, so if Doug chooses to do the cobra r hood, I may have to think twice.

    So My Journey Begins.

Congratulations James, you made the right choice! You're where I was a few years ago, and I love it. Best decision I ever made, and probably ever will make. On a side note, go to about.com, they have articles on just about anything you could want to know about the military, including a...

    What's your favorite horn?

The horn on my 1960 Chrysler Imperial sounds like that of a large ship. It's a 3 piece setup, with the largest horn having a trumpet about 1.5 feet long, bent 90* at the middle. It is very loud and VERY deep. I wanna put one like it on the Marauder. :D

    Your ipod SUCKS!

Let's see how many of you "old timers" know about this? Uh, actually, that's already been done, long before the 8-track even came around, (first available in 1956). ;) The following link shows one of the many options that was available on my 1960 Imperial Crown, which is currently under...

    Prior Service Opinions Needed.

James- Congratulations on deciding to take the plunge; I took it almost 3 years ago and have loved it since. I can't speak for the army, but as far as the air force goes, it offers great benefits, and an unbelievable selection of jobs. I went through what is known as the delayed entry program...

What do YOU do for a living...

I'm a Senior Airman in the Air Force. I'm a C-5 crew cheif, which is a fancy way of saying lead maintenance technician on a given aircraft. I'm not a dedicated crew cheif, so I work on all the planes at my base, (with one eye closed and one hand behind my back! ;)) Seriously though, it's a great...

    In Dash / Radio Clock

I have the opposite issue. I want to eliminate the clock in my radio and in the dash (the radio was a new 2004 model, but the car is an '03 300A) and I want to eliminate the radio clock and just keep the in-dash one. If anyone can help me, please send me a PM; I don't want to hijack! :o Thanks...

Nope.... Looks very nice Paul, I love the old school touch. When are you coming back up here? I'd really like to see it.

The registry is offering a deal on FR500 cam/valve kit

Well said. I'm sure I gained at least that. Yes, some of the power comes from the headers, but that much is stated in the description on Ford Racing Part's website. I had already had the headers put on, and had a cold air intake, (I believe I had the JLT on at the time). As was said before, it's...

    Looking for new rims...

Very true. I've polished mine several times already, basically every time I go through a car wash. The soap they use seems to be a bit harsher, but mother's polish seems to do very well. They seem to do fine in the rain, no spotting or the like, at least as far as I have experienced. As far as...

    Post your stupid kills

A beat up old Geo Tracker driven by some weird looking long-haired freak, just about a week after I bought my car, (still bone stock). I shut him down of course, once I realized he for some reason was serious.

The registry is offering a deal on FR500 cam/valve kit

Yes they are indeed, and they are awesome! Greatly improved performance over stock when combined with the FR500 heads. That is an awesome price too, so if anyone is interested, jump on it, (especially those of you who prefer to stay NA). Great find Juno! -Nate

Wanna Copy My Front Fender Vents

Huh, I always figured those were custom made pieces. I didn't know they were from another car, and a GM car at that. This kinda opens some design doors for me. I'll be at my sketch pad.....

    Hmmm...

Always a pleasure Mac. As I said, they do look nice, and when I told them what happened, they said it was more than likely because of the particular wheel cleaner that place used. I'm still happy though, because now I can widen the undamaged stock rims for some nice big drag radials, and I can...

    Hmmm...

Yes, they are at least as shiny as the stock rims.

    Hmmm...

You found me Bunny! That was me. When I saw they were less that $200 a piece, I had to buy them, especially since I messed up my old rims (see this thread: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=27753). It is true that they can't be widened, but they look great, and fit like the...

    My new dead pedal design

I finally got to open mine this weekend. WOW, you guys weren't kidding about the construction. We're talkin some heavy duty stuff here. Now I just can't wait to put it in! :D Thanks again Ron, I couldn't be happier!
