Tonight at around 10:30 I had a run with a what appeared to be stock SI. He was about 1.5 length ahead of me as I was getting on hwy 30 east from 141. He punched it, as did I. It was all over shortly after. I blew by him like he was sitting still. From about 30-75, with a good sounding second gear chirp.

I rarely mess around like this. But I wanted to know what RPM at open throttle is safe to shift at with my setup? I am not sure what rpms it is set to now after my dyno tune but it feels like there could be a little more there.

What do you mean shift? You leave it in drive (D), take off the traction control, if so equipt, and switch off the O/D. Let the tranny shift itself or you may be spending money on it soon.


BTW... you might want to change your sig.... Costume Dyno tune (294 HP,308 TQ) shouldn't it be Custom Dyno Tune (294 HP, 308 TQ)? Unless your MM is dressed up for Halloween.....

LOL. good one FBM... But yeah, do you mean your manually shifting this car? If you are you should stop, you will blow out the trans eventually.
Look, you got a dyno tune so that makes all the diffrence. Turn off the OD (with your foot off the gas), let it downshift on it's own, then floor it! Let that trans tune "HE" made for you do what it's suppose to.
 
Yes, I know to press the OD button and give it hell. I let it shift on its own.

Ok, then have some faith in your tuner... If you don't like he can change the shift points to your liking.

I'll make it easy for you....

Just cut and paste this:

Custom Dyno tune (294 HP, 308 TQ)
