Greetings all MV-III Attendees :)

For those folks parking in the BK lot, please listen up! I want to give everyone a "heads up" on what to expect.

First of all, you will recieve a very nice laminated parking pass that the Burger King made up for us. You will get that at registration if you paid to park at Woodward. Don't loose it, you won't be allowed access without the pass on their dash. This is at the request of the Burger King. When you arrive at the Burger King, pull up to the 4th (last) driveway, the first 3 will be blocked off. If you have a parking pass, you will be let in to park.

Due to the great demand to come and park for a front row seat to the famous Woodward Dream Cruise, our lot has been filled to capacity. Because of our desire to include as many folks as possible in the WDC experience, we have arranged a specific parking plan that makes the best possible use of what space we have.

Accordingly, when you arrive at the parking lot, the designated Parking Staff will park you as you arrive. Please follow their instructions and park where they indicate. There will not be enough room to manuver around the lot to get everyone parked where they choose, so we are respectfully asking that everyone just follow the staff's instructions.

If things go according to plan, we will have enough room for pathways in the lot to allow for the few folks who might want to get out onto Woodward on Dream Cruise day. Although we do NOT recommend folks actually go cruising on Saturday due to the INSANE traffic jam (you'll burn at least 2 hours doing a single 1 mile lap), we will make every effort to accomodate this.

A few spots in the lot will be land locked. If you do not plan on Cruising on Saturday this is no big deal, in fact a number of MCMs plan on parking in these spots. If you do want to leave the lot, a little bit of car shuffling might be necessary, but should be possible.

We ask that you accept the parking spots as assigned by our Parking Staff without question. We have 70+ cars to park and as much as we want to, we will not have the luxury to address preferences.

Remember, the real show is on Woodward!! Our seating area is curb side under the tents on the grass areas. Our cars will be parked behind us. The huge sea of Marauders will bring hundreds (if not thousands) of foot traffic lookers into the lot to see the spectical. The local media may visit as well. For these reasons, we have Parking Staff to arrange things in a neat and orderly fashion, to make a visual impact on the 1.5 million visitors that visit the Woodward Dream Cruise and will be walking by!

We thank all of you in advance for your full cooperation with the Parking Staff in an attempt to make this the best possible experience for everyone!

WOOT!

PS Bring your lawn chairs and Easy-Up shade tents!

Just to clerify, it takes about four hours to do the complete lap from 8 mile to Pontiac.

You're gonna have ground guides and orange flags for Mike, right??

I think what Mike was getting at is the way the lot is laid out in order to leave comforatble room for each car, our people will assist in parking. If we left if open, it would be a mess.

I shall park my borrowed car as instructed. You can put me in a "blocked in" space if you like. I will not be cruising on Saturday.:)
