Here’s progress on my new exhaust system. Did the header install.
Many thanks to justbob and Zach for their 2 install hacks, very helpful! Install was a breeze!

Add some V-band clamps, 3” straight pipe and a couple 45* elbows!

Old school. Gotta love it. [emoji1303]

Smart move on the V band. Something I will not hesitate on the next time the X pipe has to come off.

What is your future plans? Please say Stainless at least. [emoji6]

Just kidding!

It's just temporary to get me from Wisconsin to Atlanta where the final mandrel bent SS 3" all the way back to my 4" Megs tips will be installed.

I knew it was temporary, just refreshing to see different stuff. Years ago I remember seeing a MM with alternate full length side exit exhaust tucked high and blacked out IIRC. I can’t remember who it was or if it was manual or electric. My electric cut outs have done nothing but collect dust on top of the toolbox for years LOL

Meanwhile I’ve been giving serious thought on trying to shut my car up! It’s nothing short of a rolling public disturbance. I’m thinking multi mufflers, enclosed big red blow off and something done with my permanently open Tial (pretty much used as a wastegate for the street), and perhaps even the stock hood. More of blending in rolling controlled substance.

The sounds alone are fun a couple of times a week on short trips around town but after an hour or less I want to get out and run. Almost like every damn woman that hears me coming from blocks away and stops and just stares me down like I’m coming to molest them..

Call me old, but I’m starting to dig on quieter almost super car like exhausts that crackle on shifts. Enough rambling, I need to get back out to the garage to work on one of my latest loud purchases. Picked it up Friday night and got it running yesterday after thoroughly cleaning the green goo out of the carbs, evicting the six live mice in the air box, and however many I blew out the exhaust as I have 20’ of nest now behind the bike. Now to fine tune the $800 7,400 mile vintage gem! [emoji1303]

Bob I had a 929RR with the same color scheme back in the day. Definately the best balanced bike I've ever owned. That thing would 12:00 quick

Have you thought about porting the BOV in to a silencer of some sort? Even home made would be easy to fab.

This is actually a ‘98 in ‘93 disguise, best of both for the era.

Sorry to derail!

Thought on it some and even thought of piping it to the exhaust post o2. Just scared of not releasing enough pressure and blowing up something yet again..
