New Wilwood's on Order

Just tell the wife it's a safety upgrade (it really is).

Follow the bed in procedure.

Just wait until you need to jam on the brakes.

LOL! She's gotten into doing marathons and just completed one at Disney World last month. I told her today I was headed over to a friend of mines to pick up new tires as well.

Her comment........
"Really, That's cool. Go ahead, all good" .

Then here it comes.

" Siinnncccee I did that marathon in Disney world last month. They are having one in Disney Land in September I would like to do."

Her way of saying.
"OK DUDE!! If your going to sink more money into the marauder I need to fly out to the west coast. Help a sista out!"

My thoughts :nono:

then her thoughts ( )_Sorry, I couldn't find a symbol of a zipper with padlock on it. :o

Willwood brake pad material

Hello, just wondering what pad material you went with. I have the KVR 14" front kit with PBR calipers and EBC yellows. Not happy with the performance. Was considering going to a more aggressive Willwood compound. Thanks, Stan 908-208-3735 :banana2:

I'm using the BP10 pads. There is a BP20 pad as well.

Man... I sold my Cobra because the amount of mods I was doing. Figured I would be safe buying a Marauder and leaving it alone. So much for that theory!

Brakes arrived today!

UPS just dropped off the kit from Todd at TCE. Just wanted to give a compliment toward Todd. He was very helpful with the info I asked for through PM's. Once I ordered it all went smoothly. Thanks for the turn around time. GREAT JOB!

I hear you guys, but when I bought my Kit (14"), Baer sold front and back--and I got them in back as well but w/o the calipers--using the stock ones instead and they work great--that was in '03--not sure now--Doom may be correct at this point in time--fastblackmerc has driven mine and he can vouch--I believe its the driver that determines the value of how well your brakes are broke in and last--so far mine are on 32K and same pads--including about 30+ times down the 1320--

Either way Chris, it's great you will have them--as we all have told you already--believe someone mentioned way back about doing that even---hummmmmm

Here is a not so good pic I hurriedly found---

Thanks Tom, I can't wait to get them on. Yours look great! As of right now I am doing the fronts only on brakes. I sent my rear wheels up to weldcraft a week ago as well so I'm forking out some cheese between the wheels, tires and brakes.:D Once I get those back and new tires put on hopefully she'll be set for a while. I might do the rear's by year end. We'll see how this year goes. You guys need to make a run down here in the next few months for the 3rd Saturday of the month gathering or just make a entire weekend of it.
Once I get it all on I put up some picts.

I am getting Wilwoods installed this weekend. Jason Adams from Team Ford in Marietta is going to take care for me. Also just got word from Weldcraft and wheels should be ready Monday to ship. Picts will be out here by end of next week.

You'll be amazed with your new stopping power!

BTW.... The rear brakes are adequate. Just upgrade to a better pad, stainless steel lines and maybe new rotors. That's what I'm doing to mine. Got slotted rotors to match the fronts.

I'm looking forward to the new stopping capability. On the rears did you go with wilwood as well?

some body mention weldcraft??:banana2:

No, stock calipers, new pads, braided stainless steel lines and new slotted rotors (to match the front slotted rotors).

Good deal, That's what I plan on doing as well. I swapped out the stock rotors with some Napa drilled and slotted about 10k ago. Right now going to stay with that unless I bump into some more $.

Can't wait! All should be together by next Friday.

Big THANKS to Jason Adams at Team Ford in Marietta, Ga. He has been doing the install. Almost finished. Here are a couple of picts sent from him today.
