3" Fuel Filter Upgrade

Hey travis, my ford dealer said that the part number for the bracket you listed is no longer avail.
 
Just bend the old one to fit and use an appropriate sized hose clamp to secure the filter to the bracket.

i bent my bracket to a perfect fit, its very easy and takes all of 5-10 minutes once you remove the bracket from the frame.
 
sorry i am kinda new to this i replaced my fuel filter myself a while back.If you don't mind a beginner asking are there noticeable benefits.

Quicker start's, and a slightly improved throttle response

The larger filter allong with larger fuel line's allow the gas to get from the tank to the injector's faster, would'nt you get some type of benefit N/A or F/I? :confused:

i called N.A.P.A how much of the gates 5/16 fuel inj hose do i need i have the 8 clamps the 3097 3"inch filter that all i need right.

Do you really think so?

Has there ever been an issues with a NA Marauder running out of fuel? I'm sure the Ford engineers designed it correctly.

Now if you have a power adder you'll need all the help you can get.
 
Not true, my MM was running out of fuel @ WOT with all stock components.
Running lean like a mofo. I upgraded to twin SVT Focus pumps (I know, not necessary),along with my 3" filter mod and now all is well.

Dont make me get into how well Ford designed the in tank fuel line's.:rofl:
They're corrugated and inadequate at best!
I changed those too :burnout:

Sometimes I wonder about my fuel but so far no problems. Going to do the filter mod this week hopefully when I do my oil change.
