trilogy style body kit who would want it?

so i talked to my friend miguel and he said that he started in makeing a mold so far for the front facial ans when thats complete and looking just like to trilogy 1 we`ll test fit it on my cusins 04 mercury grand marquis and take some pics of it! as miguel was telling me that alot of fiberglass body kit are very thin and break easy he`s planing on reinforcing points of the kit with kevlar and some aluminum to give it strangth and at high speeds wont flop in the wind!after the front is done then he`ll focus on the rear bumper facial. when the car is all done he`ll have a complete mold for all sides and then can figure cost to make complete kit or just parts of it? now remember these will shorten the front and rear bumper alot but they will lokk so sweet when finished. Just to add 1 more point when he makes to rear facial he plans to mold the wording MARAUDER in the rear bumper for my kit but that will be opional when the mold is finish

Does your friend have the capability to produce the stock bumper covers in the plastic material? If he can do that he'll get a lot of orders I'm sure.

no just the impact crumpel plastic under the bumper cover is not used but the bumpers frame reforcement still stays on! that plastic crumpel is a 6inch extendtion on the bumper reforcement and when you remove that you can shorten the bumper those 6 or so inchs

That's hot, I'd like to move the front bumper in some.

I'm not the search guro but, I believe the Trilogy kit was for sale over on Motorcity. I think they were asking like 20K for the molds or something like that.

I'm subscribing...

^^^That would fly.

The Trilogy kit does nothing for me. I think it detracts and looks way too "look at me, look at me!" And not in a good way.:shake:

It would be interesting to learn the cost of the molds your friend is making to recreate (a portion of) the Trilogy kit. It just seems to me that buying a ready made mold is less expensive, but perhaps I have a lot to learn about mold making.
