What did you do to your car today?

I installed the Console Bucket I got from Mebot. But I might pull it back out and use my old lid. The leathers in a little better shape. While I had it apart I noticed one of the clips is missing. And where it is screwed at the bracket is all cracked to hell. I glued what I could, anything is an improvement than what was there. So on that note. If anyone has a Minty Fresh Charcoal Grey Center-Console for Sale please PM me!

Drove my 6 and 9 year old and their 10 yr old friend to WWE RAW here in Tulsa at the BOK center. Not the biggest wrestling fan but they love it and can't beat free suite tickets:)

Got an overdue all wheel alignment. Rear end was right on the money, and front end
calibrated to spec's CarFixer posted a while back. All was in factory green when started, now I should see more even wear on the fronts. At least I have a base line. Alignment tech was excellent: took his time and did it right.
Washed and vacuumed car. Noticed some paint fade on the front hood; clear coat is in excellent condition though. Probably a combination of sun, heat, and marginal factory paint. New tread all the way around mounted on chrome aftermarket rims, plus force balanced recently. Pretty much ready for the Ford National trip to Penna.

Today I gave it it's weekly bath and installed a pair of NEW OEM headlamp assembiles with the Sylvania ZXE bulbs I bought from NXSbob...while I was at it I also put the Xpel headlight protection film on the new headlamps. I'll tell you that stuff is way thicker than I thought it would be. I didn't put it on the fogs or marker lamps yet...although I should put it on the fogs since they're only a couple of months old. I plan to get new marker lamps at which time I'll install the Xpel.

I also decided it was time to upgrade the dash backlighting since I felt it was too dark. I removed the cluster and used a combination of white SMD LED's and a green SMD LED strip. Overall I'm very happy with it with the exception that on the tach there is a dark area by the 4,000 RPM digit. When I have time I'll open it up and rearrange the strip, but I can live with it for awhile.
Side note...It was the first time the dashboard panels were removed for sure, and I hope I don't end up with squeaks and rattles.

I also really like the green tint to the odometers due to the green LED strip :D

Car and dash looks great!

I removed the Belt tensioner assembly and both Idler pulleys. Now I have to go find and buy the replacement parts. then comes the fun part of putting it all back together. Especially since it has the vortech supercharger, man that makes it a pain in the gluteus maximus! And then remembering how to route the belt! :mad2:

I feel in Love with my 300A.

Woke up at 6:45am, went outside in my boxers and tee shirt (boxers were clean, car was clean), and drywashed and then waxed my hood, roof, rear deck, and sides down to molding.

Showered, dressed (casual day), and drove the kids to school in the NEW Marauder.

Discovered from a fellow Marauder that in town the car drives better with O/D off... so I tried it around town. Went for a 10 miles cruise and PASSED MY CA SMOG with CAI, TUNE, etc... Smog Guy said it ran cleaner than an NEW HONDA LEV... and was clearly impressed and interested in car (he may just have been a saleman!).

Drove the Marauder some more, and then delivered it to the WHEEL SPECIALISTS who are going to strip down and re-clear coat my 15,000 VIRGIN miles wheels (1st rubber change - just 2 weeks ago -- no marks whatsoever) to repair damage to each wheel's clearcoat where the tire guy tried to get the glue off from the showroom weights and "cleaned the wheels for me" get this... with a steel brillo pad. Yes, as the wheels were SHOWROOM NEW --I , a grown man, felt like fighting, or crying, or perhaps both at he same time.

Tire shop is old cool friend and paying for repair. Wheel shop owner is cool, andwas resealing Ferari wheels while I was there. Repair place said they's strip, buff, polish, re-clear thicker, and repolish much better than the "very very thin original stock coat" and that the insides would be nearly perfect...

So my Marauder (I think his name is Damien), is sitting on a stand, wheel-less for the next week.

And yes, I showed them the AIR SUSPENSION off switch. With my luck....

Well....before I went to Louisville I had the EMP water pump, UDP's, Granatelli coil connectors, Mo tune(Thanks Mo!), FRPP shorty headers and x-pipe installed along with normal cleaning of everything and powder coated valve covers and xover pipe installed. I love the new power but the sound of the exhaust left me wanting more. Factory tips were drowning out the sound sooooo.....I got a set of 4" res-delete tips installed and I love it! Changed the entire sound of the car now she sounds mean:beer:
