Heading to Vegas

The East Coast Convoy is about 1/2 way to Las Vegas. Six (6) MMs headed your way so far. They just did an RON in Rolla, Missouri enroute along the Route 66 corridor. They are making some stops along the way to take in some of the sights and venues along the route. Yesterday they were at the St. Louis Arch, dinner at the Schafly Brewery, and a brief stop at the Atwood Armory.

The East Coast convoy is now in Amarillo, TX visiting the "Cadillac Ranch" and leaving their graffiti signatures on the car art. Earlier they did an RON in Oklahoma City, OK and visited the OKC Memorial and the Route 66 Museum. BigDogJim split off from the group to see small town America along Route 66. He'll catch the others later along the trip. Now 5 MMs convoying along I-40 Haggis/Ladyhawke, YIMMA, DWSTANG67, FastMerc, and Ken.
 
Bad news the MM's trans broke in route to Vegas.:(

But I booked a flight to Vegas.
Arrive Sept 16 1230 pm terminal 3
Depart Sept 20 805 am terminal 3
 
The trans lost third & 4 th gear on the interstate 100 miles from the boarder but I limped back home at 35 MPH or 60 KMS which took forever.:(

The East Coast Gang of Five spent the night stargazing in Roswell, NM last night, then hit the International UFO Museum and Harley Davidson shop earlier today followed by a lunch stop at the world famous Owl Bar & Grill. On the road they picked up a 6th MM. Gryphonzus and his wife cruising in their Silver MM (1 of 5 they own) are now tacked on to the convoy that is back to smokin' on the Interstate. Won't be surprised to see them "Standing on a Corner in Winslow, Arizona" later today. I heard that there is a Girl in a Flatbed Ford waiting to get a look at the MMs. They may be able to catch BigDogJim in Flagstaff if the running times work out right.

When the East Coast Convoy split at Amarillo, TX. One group took the southern route through New Mexico to Clovis, Roswell, San Antonio, Socorro, VLA and Gallup stopping to see some sights along that route. BigDogJim split off and headed to Four Corners. Who knew that Jim was big enough to cover 4 states all at once (NM, AZ, CO and UT) ? Looks like the gang has rallied in Winslow, AZ last night to start the last leg of their 2,533+ mile journey (less side trips) this morning. Depending on stops and activities planned for today, the 7 MM convoy (5 Black, 1 Silver and 1 Blue) should arrive at the South Point hotel between 2:00 and 3:00 PM today. Let the Party Get Started !!! :party:
