I need a running engine. The doctor says mine is done. I still owe on the car so parting it out isn't an option. Let me know what you have

Thanks for the link, but that's more than I owe on it, not trying to take out a second loan to fix this car

I didn't say free. But that is unfortunately out of my budget. People pull their stockers occasional to make room for a built one. Was hoping for one of those. I should have been more specific.

does anyone have a list of what cars have basically a drop in replacement for the MM?

Nothing due to different oil pans.
You can use a Mach 1 engine or Aviator engine.
But the oil pan and the timing cover (aviaator only) will need to be changed.

If you buy a Mach engine with an 8 bolt crank, you will need to swap flexplates.

I went the mach1 engine route.. it was surprisingly hard to find a NEW 8 bolt flexplate..ended up finding one for cheap on ebay. Is there any advantages with the 8 vs 6 bolt?

I have a bad engine too! Maybe we should take 2 to make 1! Mine through no. 3 out the side and 5 wedged in the scraper!

You guys need to get a block and rebuild. Junkyard search for a Mark VIII for the strongest aluminum block. Then use some of your Marauder parts (heads, intake, oil pan, oil pickup tube) since they are unique to the Marauder and some are obsolete.

+1!
I can find TEKSID blocks anytime I want for dirt cheap.

Not surprised to see it end this way, I sensed a lack of commitment. It isn't easy running a 12 year old car.

It is not for everybody.
Dude seriously? A little uncalled for. You don't know me. I loved this car for the time that I owned it. I just am not in a financial position to be able to fix it at the time and it is extremely difficult to find somebody to lend for a second vehicle when there is still a lien on this one. I regret that it had to come to this and if I were in a better position, you can bet that I would hang onto it until I could afford to fix it.
