PARTS AND LABOR EST,, WACKY WIPER FIX?

I cant do this at home,,How much would you expect to pay to get this done at the stealership or a quality repair shop?

I'm talking new or reman wiper motor with module and pig tail,

I'm assuming some you have gone this route before?

Snap On Shopkey states 1 hour labor. Plus parts I would assume this to be a job less than $200 out the door. It's simple so don't hesitate to shop around.
 
Thanks for that.. cause I was thinking 2 hr would be reasonable,, $110 hr around here and most shops wont use customer purchased parts,
 
Clean out the debris that has collected under the cowl. Let it dry out thoroughly w/o using it till it's dry it may not need to be fixed any further. Depends on if the motor fried or just got wet.

+1, removing the cowl is quite simple. A few screws, a few bolts, unclip a few harnesses.

This could be a free fix.
 
It's not completely simple but it is. The hardest part is just getting the wipers off and then back on in the correct position, I started to take a piece of painters tape and place it on the windshield where the wipers rest at so I have an exact reference as to where it needs to be sitting when reinstalled. Tools needed: Pliers, large flat tip screwdriver, & general metric socket set, also a drill with a large drill bit or unistep bit to enlarge the drain holes.

I can take it apart in about 10 mins after I learned when I had to fix my wacky wipers years ago. Since then every 6 months or so I pull the cowl assy and clean it since the car is not garaged and every single little thing seems to find its way into the cowl.

My fix was weird, bought a new wiper motor w/module, installed and wipers only seemed to half work, ended up having to put the factory module from the old motor onto the new motor and they have worked since.

A few pics (drainage trap gets blocked up, water fills up in the cowl and the wiper motor/module get submerged in water = wacky wipers)

FBM was right again,, I got the wiper motor changed at a local shop with a good rep. and now the climate control wont do anything. Any way those two things are related? Like maybe they didn't disconnect the battery before they started working on it and somehow messed up the blower control module?

Serching for BCM fix now

Did they disconnect the BCM or knock the connector loose?
