Wanted To Buy FPDM needed

I need to upgrade my FPDM also. Sounds like some PCM tuning must be done to accommodate a larger pump and the FPDM? I would guess it is the bigger pump that would call for the retune, doesn't the FPDM just pulse width modulate commanded by the PCM? The mods are to supply more current without overheating or failing?

Anyway, I would like to understand this more and get a high-current FPDM in anticipation of more fuel pump and motor. Is there a consensus on the Aeromotive 340LPH PN 11142? Flow vs pressure looks good.
 
One of the reasons for a tune to address fuel pump parameters is to prevent/reduce pressure spikes. Too much pressure gives you a blown FRPS. Another reason to leave the pump pressure relief valve in place.

I'm glad you posted this info. Is this something to look into with my centri and engine build?
