Trilogy : The Zack Discount

Jerry that's an awesome pic!!!

Great deal too, I should buy a second kit and then later I can "upgrade" it by adding a Marauder as a bolt-on!

:D

Funny you should ask.

This is my more recent picture. But, hey, at least I have a soon-to-be Trilogized Marauder, right? Maybe life ain't so bad after all...

The Zack discount is a great deal, but I don't think you can pay in chickens, Astro.

Response from Jerry Barnes

Hey, wait a second! I'm no detective, but I'm guessing that picture Zack posted is a likeness of Jerry Barnes. Right? And he's with his friends? And he's having fun? With his friends? Wow....

Since we're sharing pictures, here's one of me with my one of my friends. See if you can figure out who is who. (Note: Photo taken just milliseconds before Secret Service agents tackled me. I was just about to wrap my arm around around W's head and give him a big ol' noogie.)

Where's one of Zack and his friends?

That's a great picture. How come George is not dancing?

I am convinced that all of our wonderfull s/c vendors are inherently EVIL because they are offering discounts on their kits at the time of year when I have to spend money on people other than myself. They are doing this only to deepen the wretched torment of my immortal soul.:help:

Who made up THAT rule? Seems to me it's your money until you spend it....

All else aside, I wouldn't be caught dead in a pic with Mr. Bush.

Hey, as long as you're all bashing each other I'm turning this into a political thread, so nyahh.

Oh, and neener too.

:P

That's a great picture. How come George is not dancing?

Response from Jerry Barnes

Folks,

I just posted a response to a comment that Zack made on the MCM site. I want to be very open and honest with everyone on both sites about how I feel. I don't bull**** people or beat around the bush. People make mistakes in life and I make them on a regular basis myself. But, my mother always told me "Treat people the way you want to be treated". I have tried hard to follow that philosophy in life. Sometimes I don't succeed, but I don't usually make the same mistake twice, especially with people I call Friends.

So this was what I posted and some may find it harsh, but it is where I stand at this point.

And my response was this :

Zack,

Let's be REAL honest with one another. I have turn the cheek once to often with you. And I thought when I helped you, when you purchase our product that we could be friends, that time has come and gone.

Do you remember when you drove all the way from Chicago for our first Trilogy Open House. Do you remember the hospitality we extended to you and Sarg and the others? Do you remember the posts that were made after you got home? It was like we met different people. You will never change and I will not turn the cheek any longer.

We are not friends, and I usually don't say that about many people. But, you will never change. You are who you are. I just don't have to put up with it or accept it. You take great joy in bringing others trouble. The less we have to listen to you, the better off these web sites will be.

Sorry!

Jerry

And that is fine Jerry, I respect that. When I ordered your kit, (before I learned BG's car was for sale) I was genuinely excited about it. Ive told other people this before and Ill say it here: Had you offered Boxed and ready kits the day of the open house, I would have been first in line.
Yes, I ordered a Vortech cause it was available right then and there. That was a time when I had lost my job of which i was going to have forever. I was depressed and I needed a summer project to keep my mind off it. I was dipping into my savings for blower, imagine that.
And another thing you thought you'd never hear, the Vortech kit was a pain in the dickk to install. I refined it in my own way til the day I got rid of it.
Now it is a fool proof kit that is easy to install. Evolution I guess.

Back to the point: I had no clue the TKit was lacking the IAT placement I prefer. Think about it, how many trilogy's do I have to study here in Chicago?
Had i known, I still would have bought it, and changed it. In reality, I was a little shell-shocked I had just shelled out 5 large for a kit that I felt lacked the necessary safety and customary features found in any other blower kit. Im not comparing this to Reinharts kit, Im comparing this to EVERYONE.

So I asked you publicly why it is this way, assuming you would be able to answer me. Afterall, you are the president and CEO of an international company, why wouldn't you have the answers? And I dont care how many of your minions have come to your defense over this because under it all, they are all gearheads that probably do want to know the answer.

In closing, our relationship, or lack of, is what it is.
Here's the jackazz you know:
A little loudmouth peon who doesnt know squat just improved the supercharger design of an International Company, hows that for a reality check?

Yeah, somebody needs a reality check all right.

But it isn't Jerry Barnes.

:burnout:

Zack, Zack Zack.
I truly believe you have been reading all the response put forth on the IAT subject, yet have only chosen to acknowledge those that fit your side of the story.
You expect Trilogy Motorsports to take a proven product and change it based on your information. But you miss the point that it performs as advertised. It has always been tauted as a safe performance upgrade that will function as promised, as delivered.
The opportunity that you have, still, is to perform the upgrade on your car and show the whole world that you are correct. Why not just do that and show the results?
Anything less, and that's what you've given us all, comes accross as petty and questionable.
Humility is one of the hardest things for people to express and show. It ain't a matter of eating crow, it's how you make friends, you know?

Think things out.
