Old car thread. 1972 and older!

Old and Knows!
Ok we have a lot of car guys here. What cars or trucks do you own that are 1972 and older. This is for cars that you still own.

I have a 1971 Ford F100 Ranger with 65.000 miles
1964 Ford Fairlane Thunderbolt clone 427 4 speed
1952 Ford F1 pickup with a flathead and a blower. Not on the road yet.

I started this thread after seeing the 67 Galaxie and the old T Bird with 485,000miles on it. I bet we have some pretty interesting cars on this board that no one talks about!

You should get the VW out and running Dave. They are not only fun but get great gas milage. Then there is the chick magnet thing. The girls love them! Maybe Doom will get one and keep it in is trunk! :D

1969 Plymouth Barracuda Notch-back Hardtop Coupe

Bought this from my best friend's Grandma with 16,000 miles in 1977--perfect, garaged shape. My 2 teenaged daughters put 112,000 miles on it in high school and college--the car has 2 high school diplomas and 2 BS degrees. Never in an accident--all 4 fenders, grill, tail lites, all bright trim and both bumpers in mint condition. Interior original except front seat coushions. First week production number--# 4 of 48 in series. New original color paint and vinyl top--engine overhauled 20,000 ago. ALL numbers match and documented. Haven't finished detailing it out. It's judged as a 1.7 on the Hemmings 1-6 scale . It will be for sale when I finish it in the next few months--the girls can't afford to keep it:( Was awarded "Outstanding in Class" at Dallas Autorama. It's 318 cu in engine turns out 348 rear wheel torque--go figure. I'm having lots of fun showing it--will hate to see it go. Ain't old cars grand:)

1972 Ford Maverick Grabber w/302 and rims and tires that are entirely too big for the back but look good.

I had a 71 302 Maverick! Not a grabber. It went high 13s. Thinking about another one for the next project. Paul I like you Olds! :D

1968 Chevelle SS convertable
1967 Chevelle Malibu

fastblackmerc, years and years ago, I got a ride in a Yenko Stinger Corvair. What a really cool car. I was told that there were only a handfull made. He said that they came in 4 "stages" of tunes. He had the 220hp tune.
I don't know what the other tunes were rated at, but his was a very quick, great handling car. It was white with a blue stripe down the center of the whole car.

I would like to see pics of the 67 LTD, if possible.

Love the Starfire Paul... very sharp! My sister had one when she was in college.

I just sold my 61 T-Bird last week to another car guy. Still have the 66 Mustang collecting dust int he garage. Usually have either money or time... never both at the same time.
