Marauderville 7....!!

Guys we get to spend a day at the dragstrip!
Bring your drag radials and race fuel! :banana2:
This is very exciting! Having all marauders lined up at the track should make for some good pics and videos.

My wife is already willing to pay for the hotel halfway but I haven't decided on whether I'm up to the drive yet....:cool:

I'm going to put in my vacation time now, but I'm not 100% that we can attend all days. Our busy season is from April to October and this will be the last weekend in Sept which is usually very busy for us.
First weekend in October. Sept 30 is Wednesday.

610 miles for me. About the same as the Louisville, KY trip just completed. It is doable if time and work don't intervene. I am a "Maybe" for now.

Fwiw

Make no mistake about Muncie Dragway. it is a quality establishment. It is under new management and the track was just resurfaced at the close of last season. I hope the weather will be nice and cool and we are able to witness a few 10 second runs by our group :burnout:

We are working on having a Dyno available with a tuner as well for those folks who care to have this service done while at MV7. I will be posting more info in the MV7 Url thread in the events forum. Keep checking and be sure to put in for time off. This is one not to be missed

Indy was awesome!! As long as work permits, we will be there.

Scott, look forward to seeing you again.

I still laugh about that. Man, those track officials in Chevy Colorado pickups pounced!

Here's a line up pic and of course on the track.

It will be about a 14 hr drive, heck Patricia and I just came back from central Kentucky in 13 hours (left at 7AM, arrived home at 8 PM and we stopped often).

So count us in barring any unforeseen problems with my sainted mother. She'll be a century old in August.

Regards,

Muncie Dragway??? Were not going to Legendary Raceway Park that's real close to where were at?

Nope, They seem to have gotten "too big" to worry about test-n-tunes. The only way we did it at MV2 was renting the facility. It was 8K at that time.

The track issue was why no drag racing at the last one. It is to expensive to go it alone. They did the right thing hooking up with a test n tune night. Besides we will have more people to admire our cars! It will be fun.:) :burnout:

Trip to Metamora?

If you guys are looking for more things and day trips around the central indy area, check out Metamora. I have not been down there in several years, but it was always a nice romantic place to take the better half.
Metamora is a small tourist town only 1-1/2 hr drive from Speedway. It is nice, quiet and quaint. Nice eateries, tour steam locomotive, working grist mill on the canal and horse drawn canal boats. Plenty of nicknack shops and stuff like that...you know..for the girls. Check it out at www.metamoraindiana.com
