Summer Cruisn'

We'll be there. This is turning out to be a good summer. Took in the Corvette show this past weekend in Annapolis. I'll be in Reno for the last day of Hot August Nights, get back to Dulles on Friday at 630 am where Diane will meet me and we'll head up to the Woodward Dream Cruise. We had to top it all off with Marauderville 7. I would have used up all my man points for the summer but she's from the Detroit area and loves fast American cars (Yes Canadian too ).

I think i'm out. I was off work for two and a half months and then hired back. In construction during hard times, if you take a day off for any reason, then you must not need the money as bad as the next guy in line to replace you. If it is a go, can I like sleep on someone's floor, since there will be no more rooms? LOL.

Joe and Bob, sorry we may not see you guys this time, but totally understand your situations.:( You will be missed! :bigcry:

Oops, voted, but clicked the wrong button.

Me and the Ms. will be attending, we'll be celebrating our 31st wedding anniversary that Wednesday evening.

I was hoping to make this one, but I'm just too tight on cash and with the economy the way it is I just don't dare risk it. Maybe next year.

Me and the Mister (Man) will be there! Driving out to Western Iowa first and arriving in Humboldt on the Sun. eve before MV. We'll leave from there early on Tues. morning to arrive in Indy Tues. eve. If anyone will be around for dinner Tues., give us a shout. We hope to see the King Tut Exhibit on Wed. sometime. And the USS Indianapolis Memorial too, if there's time. Looking forward to seeing ya'll!

Unless we are able to get two transferred in at work by early next month, we're out. :( Upside is tons of overtime for my final year. :)

Up in the air as of now. My friend is having his bachelor party in Vegas the week before.

I have to pick one cause Im not affording both.

Another MV bites the dust

Well, this time, I know definitely I will not be there. In the last 6 months. Ginny and I have been taking care of health matters that we had put off too long. In about another 2 months, we should be in the best shape we have been in years. Ginny has no more cateracts , vericose veins or blood sugar problems. I have no more blood pressure problems, kidney problems, cholesterol problems, blood sugar problems or, for the first time in over 50 years, no back pain. We put together a team of young doctors that are the best in their fiields and, they got together and used a team approach and the results were dramatic---we are very lucky. Anyhow, this hasn't come cheap and the economy took a big bite out of my reserves--we're still doing OK, but it will take a while to catch up. I will be there in spirit, remembering the good time I had there at MV II--I also pulled out all the pics from Woodward Ave and MV III--it's been a lot of fun. I miss all you folks, and, Good Lord willing, I'll make at least one more MV. Be safe, be healthy and be happy--enjoy things while you still have the health to make the trips. Do a lap on the Brickyard for me--and take a lot of pics, Maury:beer::burnout::banana2::D

Which one, MyTM, attending MVVII or the anniversary...?;)

Both.... I thought about that when I wrote it but I figured I'd let you weigh the importance of the events.:D

Congrats also go out to Charlie and Bernie on another fantastic milestone!

I needed remedial training after the 1st 25 years and had to start over. Diane and I are coming up on number 5. I think I've got this figured out but I'll let you know when I'm no longer a rookie.

Maybe we can do a double celebration, Bern and I celebrate our 34th Anniversary on 27 Sep. :D

Hey yeah, congratulations to you guys, too! Maybe we can find a little German restaurant to go to and celebrate. If not, I have another place in mind. Let me know if you guys want to go out one night and do something special.

We're coming up on lucky number 13 in October. Only feels like four or five to me. Indy will be a great way to celebrate! ;)
