  • there's a hellva lot of friends out there that I had never met.
  • for some members Ron White was right ... You can't fix STUPID :D
  • there are folks out there as weird as me! *We're all still waitin' for the mother-ship ! REMEMBER: When the PATS turns solid RED standby for departure cordinates! :D
  • BIG RWD Panther's can ( and do ) get GREAT MPG.
    *2003 Crown Victoria LX Sport - P74 / 4.6 2V + mod's / 4460+ Lbs / 3.55 RAR / 101,320 miles on the clock.
    • 2731.2 miles *round trip - MI > Charlotte NC > Apex NC > Raleigh/Garner/Panther Branch NC ( and surrounding area ) > MI.
    • 27.1 MPG *average.
    • 24.0 MPG *worst case - lot of city driving.
    • 30.4 MPG *best case - highway cruise set @ 85MPH.
  • I miss NC ... *In no particular order
    • Hardee's burgers.
    • Smithfield's BBQ. *white combo' - pulled pork, chicken wing, chicken breast, coleslaw, potato salad, hush puppies, and unsweet tea.
    • moonshine. *home brewed ( stole a gallon from a former neighbor ). Though Junior Johnson's Midnight Moon t'ain't bad ( bought a case at the ABC ).
    • Texas Pete Honey Mustard. *Bought a case at the Food Lion.
    • Southern Seasons. *Speciality food store in Chapel Hill.
    • weather.
    • southern attitude and hospitality.
    • former neighbors.
    • the smell of pine.
    • clear skys and clean air.

Right there with ya Paul. Met Joe that Friday via Mark (Go2GuyFL) had a hell of a good time, ate some half decent food, cruised around NC/SC drank cheep beer in a parkin lot, I mean what more could ya want :D

The Carolina's have some of the nicest people we've ever met. Hence one of the reasons we want to move there when our daughter graduates from HS in five years.

+1, beautiful pics gdmjoe! Thanks for sharing. That 1st steam engine looks very similiar to one that was produced here in Eaton, NY and shipped all over the country prior to and after the Civil War. Love the covered bridge, very few left here due to the climate. As for the shine, welllll, lets just say you have you have to know the right folk way up north :D Then again, I like my eye sight too.
 
Very nice display of Pics there Joe---I was hearing you guys talk the morning you were starting to ride up thru that part right after MV8---.

Thanks for coming to MV8--it was a long haul for sure--but a lot folks finally got to meet you and we did once again--5 years is a long time----hopefully we will see you again soon in the near future.....

It was great fun get together at MV8--and thanks for the :beer:s, guess I will have to return the favors next time--....it was a blast!!!!!!

Reminds of a little bar in Pratts Hollow, NY called the Coon Rod. More like someone's club house than a bar. Best sound system I've ever heard, MacIntosh (USA), Crown(USA) and Klisph. Too unique too fully describe. Problem is since ole Butch hit the lotto he spends most of the year in Florida chasin the skirts...
