Unfortunately, my MM is sitting outside in the rain today an tonight. It looks like the rain is ending now in Northern VA. I'll clean her up late tonight or very early in the morning. Even so, the roads are likely to still be wet in the morning so more cleaning will be needed in the quagmire...
Just got mine from the Detailer last evening (in the rain!). I drove straight home and am leaving it there until Sat. morning. I'm hoping the drive up from DC won't be too messy. Jon
I had my local mechanic do the work - he does all my work that I don't do and he specializes in front end work. He saw the problem immediately and "carefully" torched off the flags because you cannot "take them off" in a normal fashion. Now I am at the improved specs though I can't tell about...
Please don't do this. Saddling yourself with an Audi (that's not leased) will really become YOUR PROBLEM when it gets a couple of years old. The cost to repair these little gems is crazy. I've had a few family members go down the Audi route and if you don't dump them early you're in for a...
I would also respectfully ask you to think hard about supporting Ford because of the current dire situation we face with Government take over of the US auto industry. We need to think about rewarding Ford for doing the right thing. You know the US Government will ultimately stack the deck...
I lived in MN for several years in the 80s and it is a chore to keep a car clean there. I never had the luxury of leaving a car in the garage - they were driven all winter. I do remember when I bought a new car in 1982 I could not stand to see it dirty and salty after the first snow in...
I'm just starting to have that trouble. It won't always go back to vent from defrost or floor. I guess I better stay on top of this before my ESP runs out in October.
I just went through the dreaded squeak last week. It comes back every few months and drives me nuts. Each time I clean out the grease in and around the main hood latch and re-grease it well. That does it but it is a messy job to have to do 2 - 3 times a year. It is amazing how rapid the...
I saw a black MM traveling on the DC Beltway from Maryland into Virginia at 4:15pm last evening. There was a lady driving but I did not signal since I was (oops) in my TBird SC. It seems lately that nearly every time I do see an MM I'm in my other car!
I also saw a DTR in my neighborhood the...
Same here. I'm lucky enough to have a 93 SC 5-speed and the 04 Marauder. The SC gets the garage but I drive it to work about once a week. Having the stick blows the Marauder automatic out the window. I almost didn't get the Marauder because of the dang automatic - I hate 'em.
I had a similar situation. I tried the 63 lock-up but it wasn't that convenient for me in the DC metro area so I asked Lidio to lower it. He's not keen on the idea but he did it for me. Also, the trans oil runs hotter on the highway when you are not locked up. I have lowered my highway trans...
Exactly! This would be a slam dunk and no one would notice. Is there some other reason why this division exists? From a man-on-the-street consumer POV it makes no sense. If you want the fancier variants of the Chevy SUV, then get the Caddy.
