Good bye, Good Night and Good Luck

Thank you Thanks for all of the good wishes. I purchased an SRX, which is nice and all and has some cajones to it, but it feels like a minivan. I spent 2 hours yesterday trying to figure out how all of the 'doo-dads' work. I'll get into something good a couple of years from now, but with the...

Good bye, Good Night and Good Luck

I finalized my deal and as of 10:36 AM (EST) am no longer a Marauder owner. I will miss the helpfulness of this group. I will miss the look that other drivers would give as we would pass each other on the highway and I will really miss the guys that would lean out the window giving the thumbs...

    Garaging the Marauder

Its just part of defensive driving. The last 3 years, I drove the Marauder year round with snow tires on. But with a Gr.Cherokee available to me, I just decided its not worth the risk of some soccer mom in a Honda Odyssey talking on a cell phone sliding into me.

    Garaging the Marauder

As of this weekend, the Marauder will be tucked away for hibernation until early April. Hope all of the winter riders and southern owners continue to enjoy it. I miss her already. I'm going to try to drive her one last time if the snow isn't flying tomorrow morning.

3 Great years and more to come...

You are so completely right. I've been a very limited visitor to this site for the last several months due to a variety of commitments, so I was really surprised by all of this the last couple of days. At the end of the day, Logan, its your site. No explanation required. Thank you so much...

    Very Close Call

I knew you had to be smart a guy to own a Marauder. Good luck with school.

    Very Close Call

What are they going to do?? How about a big fat helping of not a damn thing. The cars are the least of everyone's problems anyway. 3 major office buildings are closed and a 4th has no A/C to the point that it is impossible to work in it. How much business has been lost? I'm sure the city's...

    Very Close Call

A 36 inch water main broke right outside of my parking garage last Wed. The wonderfully bankrupt city of Pittsburgh continues to find ways to chase people away. Anyway, someone came up to our offices and told us about it and we all dashed to our cars because we're in a basement section. Had...

    Are we normal?

BFGoodrich needs to HEAR US !!!

Isn't this more of a ford issue than BFG? If Ford moved its business away from BFG and BFG is the only one that made the tire, then shouldn't the new tire company Ford uses (Pirelli, Continental) start making the tire?

    Joke of the day

The definition between "guts" and" balls The definition between "guts" and" balls"! Guts - is arriving home late after a night out with the guys, being assaulted by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask: "Are you still cleaning, or are you flying somewhere?" Balls - is coming...

    Yet another mystery tranny story

I've seen other threads about this same problem. Everything was going well until I stopped for gas. When I started back up and got on the highway, the cra wouldn't shift out of 2nd gear. I was going about 70 and turning 5000 rpms. I pulled over at the next rest stop, shut it down for a...

    Pittsburgh area sightings

Its unusual when I see another Marauder around here. There must not be many where I'm traveling. But on Monday of this week, I was driving west on the PA turnpike about 30-40 miles from Pittsburgh and I saw a Marauder SVT, heavy tint on the windows, and driving right at the speed limit. Very...

    No longer a nuetered puppy

I switched off the snow tires this week and put back on the "Big 18 inchers." On top of that, the hood stops have been adjusted so no more annoying squeeks and its been washed and waxed. I no longer feel like some emasculated wuss in an old man car, but rather a like darth vader in a black...

    Driving in snow

We had a pretty mild winter in terms of the amount of snow fall this year, so there have been many days of driving on dry roads. The deal we got at the time from Discount Tire was 4 tires mounted on steel rims and delivered for something like $500. Well worth it for a guy that lives in a...

    Driving in snow

Just like the saying goes, "Tires wins races." so goes the snow tire question. I'm running the 16" Michelin Arctic Alpines everyone has talked about. One of the positives is that they're not as wide as the BFG's so you don't get the "snow plow" effect up front. I ran one winter with the...

    S/C Marauder For Prom

Dude, you're worried about what's under the car's hood instead of your date's? I went to my prom in a 1977 Country Squire station wagon.
