I don't know of a common name, in most of the shop-manuals and literature I've run across, they are just called Merc-O-Matics and Multi-Drive merc-O-Matics. I've got a 1961 service specifications manuals here, that lists the model transmissions as follows PAZ-Z (MOM) 292CID2V PBM-Z (MOM)...
