For Sale 04 DTR. 1 OWNER. 465 MILES. Now on Ebay

All I know.

All I know other than what I stated in original post is that the AutoTrader listing was deleted about 2 days before the Ebay auction ended. The main picture of the car was same on Ebay and in AutoTrader (Ebay had more extra pictures added). I said it was SOLD because auction ended. He is probably having sellers remorse because he expected/wanted more money for it.

Hi there! You say its SOLD... but... I won the bid however the gentleman says he does not wish to sell it to me. :( ARE YOU SAYING you've seen it listed somewhere before? I looked at autotrader and could not find it.

The reason I ask is that the Mr. says he has remorse and now wishes to keep it.

I called in all my favors and secured a loan... and would have to sell my 1967 fastback Ive owned since 1992 to pay it back... but my back and neck and right leg are blasted and I cant have my 'kids cars' anymore, but want a new car, but none of them excite me, this one DOES.

He finally allowed me to talk to him after the auction, he says he will talk to his feincee and ask her what she thought of my story (failed for 20 years to have a relaible ford, partially disabled, need a cushy car, etc) do you think that this Mr. is a DIFFERENT seller than the autotrader ad refered to????? Thanks

He said he titled the car to sell it, but now does not wish to let it go to me :(

He said he would get back to me, but I want to KNOW IF THERE IS MORE TO THE STORY THANK YOU

I've seen this car in person, and talked to the guy about a year ago, he seems shady, I guarantee that if I stop by his business it's still sitting there in the showroom. Bottom line is he didn't get the 29k he wanted for it and doesn't understand the meaning of no reserve.

I would contact an attorney in Pennsylvania.

Also, if he is a dealer, I would look at reporting him to the licensing agency.

Interesting that the seller seems to have mainly car parts for sale and not whole cars,
I wonder where this car came from, salvage? Flood?

Does anyone know

Im not an ebay expert but if does this guy have any legal action? I thought ebay was like a legal contract but on the other hand if the guy selling is that shady how much can you beleive about the car.

The buyer does have legal rights. This happened not long ago with someone who bought, I believe, a new SRT8 Challenger for 23 or 26k, the seller tried to back out, in the end, the bidder got his car for the bid price. This would take some effort, but they are supposed to sell for the bid price if the reserve was met or there is no reserve.

One more Question

Also how do you know miles are legit I don't know the marauder mechanicals but what's to stop the seller from buying a brand new Speedo and put it on a low mileage car like 15k or less and then go put 465 miles on it and say that's it. I normally wouldn't think that but anyone who would sell a car and then try to get out of it. I sold a mint ford pick up on ebay with no reserve and I got screwed and should of got more but I went through with it as to my word.
