Well, I guess you guys figured after enough bashing you would hear from me. Everyone who has commented on my actions do not know me. There are members who do as I have purchased their cars, and There are members who have purchased Marauders from me. (Anyone want to step up and say they bought/sold with this guy?) What I added to my listing is the truth. I dare anyone of you to be placed in my situation and not do what I did. It is easy to pass judgement when not having all the facts. Did you know the high bidder bid on the car for a friend? The buyer contaced me prior to bidding to inquire about shipping and then after winning the auction asked if I could assist (As in helping find a shipper?) in shipping. Also if I had received the deposit, I would have been obligated to sell the car, and for those who say why should he send the deposit, so I could keep his deposit and the car. Please, that is just an excuse as he sent the deposit anyway and I refunded it immediately. I did pay a lot of money for this Marauder because it was the best I have ever come across since buying one new. If the economy was better, I would have never offered it for sale to start with. I know that the winning bidder was not happy with me, but I did try to work it out with him, but he never got back in touch with me. Why members of this forum have the inability to mind there own business and pass judgement on me with out being in my shoes escapes me.

Hello again and to answer the questions asked. The gentleman who bid on the car was not the buyer. (I buy many parts on for a friend who does not have Ebay account. So mute issue.) The buyer contacted me and told me he as out of town but never mentioned needing more time to send the deposit, why would he, his friend is the one who bid and obviously he was at home. The bid was placed with just a couple minutes left. once he won, he should have sent the deposit and I would have had to sell him the car. Also once I asked to cancel the transaction and he declined, he should have sent the deposit and again I would have been obligated. Was I relieved that the deposit was sent late. YES. Also As my revision to my listing stated I could not have anyone shill bid at the end as that is against ebay policy and in some states the law. I did ask the gentleman who was the last bidder to consider giving me a little more (outside of Ebay? That's a no no), and that I will not deny. I have close to $27,000 in this car not including advertising (Another mute issue). <--(moot?)If he indeed wanted the car, and would have offered a few hundred dollars (you asked for $1.5k more) more, I still would have sold the car, as I believed he really wanted it. And Yes before I was going to lose all that money I was going to keep it and enjoy going to shows with my son. I have no need to lie about any of this. I am a decent person who takes pride in being honest. Because of the harassing emails and name calling I have received through ebay, I have removed the listing. I really do not need the abuse, would you want to be on the receiving end of the harassment? I did not think so.

Yes, the buyer did not make the deposit within the 24 hours as my ad stated!!!!! And to answer one other post. I am not exactly sure how someone could ask "who would pay $27,000 for an 8 year old car" Do you know how stupid that sounds? What does the age of the car have to do with its value? I have sold several cars recently that were at least that lod for more money. For example 2003 Dodge Viper 3,000 miles $54,200. 2004 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 with 2,200 miles $32,000, 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra Conv 2,000 miles $29,995. So really does that statement hold water? Please stop judging me. And for all the haters out there, I emailed the buyer and offered him the car for $23,500 including all fees. And of course I did not hear from him, as I suspected he was going to be a non-payer anyway so this nonsense is unnecessary!!!!!

I was not comparing a Viper, Z06 Corvette or any other such vehicle. I was trying to get my point across that what difference does it make how old a vehicle is when determining its value, that is all. And to the individual who posted about the Impala SS for sale, I would be interested in that vehicle. Also as an update to those that think I was in the wrong, the bidder on the Marauder who spoke negatively about me, and who I did offer to sell the car to for his winning bid (I would love to see a copy of that email posted), has failed to contact me. So all this he said, she said has been for not. If he really wanted the car, he would have contacted ME!!!
