2003 Mercury Marauder Color, Trim & Option Breakdown

The '04 sheet does NOT show moonroof breakdown. Also, it's interesting that in the VIN decoder sent with the package they ignore the moonroof-destined cars that start with MHHM instead of MEHM. It's my understanding that the moonroofs were installed after the factory at a third party but before the dealer got them. It would be nice to have that breakdown. All I have heard is that I am 1 of 2000 without the option in 2004.

"Cobra X pipe exhaust, Diablosport Predator Performance Chip, K&N Air filter, 4.10 to 1 final drive ratio...
This car has been garaged since new, it has all the goodies installed, YET, IT HAS NEVER BEEN ON A TRACK OR RACED !"

Xpipes, Diablosport Predato, K&N filter, 4.10s and never raced?????
That's like a crack addict having a bagful land at his feet and saying I aint going to do it! :D

I was wondering about the "sunroof" thing also. My '04 has one, so I would have liked to have that listed on the options' sheet.

WTH does this ^^^^ have to do with any of the discussion?

Oughta be fairly easy for FPG to check out the MEHM vs MHHM differences and give that info on the 2004 breakout. So, which 2004 owner is gonna make the call to FPG?

After calling Ford - here's the scoop on the Sunroof Option not being listed on the sheet.

"The information was listed as per what the MotorCityMarauders members asked Ford to list on the breakdown sheet".

Apparently if we go to the MotorCityMarauders site, we should be able to pull that info off there as well.

So basically that info about the sunroof option will not be on the sheets. It wasn't missed; it wasn't asked for.

Oops !!! :o Seems an option that warrants its own VIN digit should have been included in the breakout numbers. No brainer. If it was inadvertantly overlooked by MCM, FPG should have pointed out the faux pas and included it anyway.

He did put me on hold for a while and asked other people there. He could not figure out either why Ford didn't have it on the sheet if it was a factory option. He did investigate if it was a "group option" (order heated seats and get a sunroof type thing), but I told him what options my car had, and it was determined that this wasn't the case. Another partial explaination was that this certificate was usually only done for SVT and the like cars, and this was a special request for these cars. Hence some of the re-mailed certificates with errored info.
Not the answer we wanted, but he was very helpful all the same.

Yes, really, a VIN digit goes ignored by Ford - that's pretty weak. I would not count this against MCM. They probably thought it was a no brainer that Ford would handle the MHHM ones. Can Ford get us the info anyway even if not on the sheet so we have it?

Jon

Don't get me wrong here. I'm not blaming MCM for this. I'm just relaying what I was told.
Would I like this on a new sheet for my '04 - yes I would!
Maybe if more of us called, it might be corrected.
(I didn't realize it was part of the VIN, and would have brought that up with him if I knew).

Geez! This will be embarrassing if I have to call a THIRD time! I realize that the Options Build Sheet info is probably new to Ford, but there were only a few Options available for the 2003 and 2004 MMs. It would all still would fit on one page.

Jeez Gordon .... what do you expect for $45.00 ... perfection? ;) I am still worried about that poor old '03 Blue MM that got screwed out of a radio.

i know my 04 marauder has a factory ''moon roof'' because i ordered it that way..It is on the sticker billing paper. I also would like the options break down. my build #is 2364 date 4-07-04 color sb I would like to know how many had ''factory moon roofs'' they only had factory moon roofs only on the 04

lol...Sounds like the 327/328 argument is still ongoing??

Oh, I solved that a while back.

Split the difference, there were 327.5 DBPs built. The other part of the .5 car is a standard GM.;)

I had one in my DTR, can't recall who told me, but I'd heard somewhere that there were bout 170 moonroof cars in '04.

I guess we put this thread to bed and say, 'Good Nite Gracie'.

Probably not worth any further electrons or precious remaining seconds from our dwindling lives to pursue the sunroof thing. Would have been nice, but not a game changer.
