I don't know if anybody who has traded in their Marauder is still hear but I'll ask anyway..
What kind of offer are the dealers giving on Marauders?

I went today and received a $12000 from CarMax here in San Antonio.
 
I saw a 73,000 mile car go through the auction last week for $12,500.

Personally, I think MM values have firmed up a bit since the dealers quit giving them away.

It'll never be a car you can sell quickly, but the nice ones seem to attract decent money.
 
Just for grins I went to Carmax there on 10 and they offered me 20K about a year after I bought mine.....They told me I had an after market sun roof.....:shake: . I told them I bought it brandnew and it was there when I bought it and it was on the original sticker....they said :nono: , It was aftermarket so there offer was less than if it was a factory sunroof....and I said well you can guess what I said.....:D
 
I got $17,787 for mine a couple months back at CarMax. Mine was a 2003B, 21K miles, and in excellent condition.

Got 14k for mine.
 
Mine has 61k miles and the "offer" said condition matched mileage.
They said nothing about the headers,and I'm sure never noticed the torque converter on the test drive.
I was trying to get a feel for actual trade in's people have gotten on our cars.

I still feel our wholesale prices are pulled down because dealers think the car is just a heavily optioned Grand Marquise.
 
You guys are starting to scare me. In about 10 to 14 days, (leaving thursday on a trip with Continental and won't return until Oct. 23rd) I want to sell/trade my 2003A with 51000miles on it. (completly stock except for Flowmaster Mufflers). If I trade, I must get at least $15,000 and if I sell outright, I must get at least $16750. That extra $1750 is to cover the difference between paying tax on the whole amount of new car, or paying tax on the difference between the cost of new car minus the trade.

If dealer offers me a ridiculous trade, I'll either just keep what I have, or if the price on the new car is a great deal, I'll just buy the new one, without trade, and store the MM for future use or sale. Will not drive three cars. Been there, done that, and with a two car garage, it is not an easy choice, which car to leave outside, and having to move one car to get the other out of the garage. Had three cars for a couple years, and sold one of my 98 Continentals (great car) two years ago, as it got to be a hassle.

Why don't you sell your MM outright?
It's worth at least 17K, try ebay with a reserve you can deal with, not much to lose.
Know what you mean about multiple cars, seems like I spend half my weekend jockeying cars around, specially with 3 teenagers and 4 cars between them...doesn't count my three cars...
 
I am going to test the waters.

In Classifieds for $17,900 which I think is a steal.

I can sell it for cheap because it is a lease and I owe much less.

2004 - 42,000 miles - $10,000 of custom stuff - Immaculate.

Garaged - waxed and babied....
