2003 with 16k miles for 21k good deal?

Not sure I want to put a bunch more power in to it. I have a couple of other cars that quench the rabid visceral need for speed.
I like the Marauder because it's big and classy and has a nice punch. Plus, I have never owned a V8. I've been going through life up until now saying "I could have had a V8".

texas direct pulled the Marauder I'm buying off their site. I guess they for got about the auto trader add.

I can still smell those leather seats in the car like the perfume of a woman you are in love with. lol Yep, I got it bad.

Good point.

My adrenaline rush addiction is satisfied by my 2013 SRT Charger. 470 HP stock from the factory. :bows:

Although I have looked into the cost, I have never seriously considered a supercharger for my MM.

It is already a wonderful and powerful car just the way it came from the factory.

So, the dream is dying. Seems the finance company has decided they want me to pay a 390 appraisal fee for the car to be appraised. No, big deal. They can't guarantee me that this won't change the terms of the loan. Which they first said I needed to put down 10 percent and now they say 15%. So, after the appraisal then what? I feel like I have been baited and switched.
I got a 755 credit rating. Anyone dealt with any good loan agencies that loan on 11 year old cars in mint condition with only 16500 on the odometer.

woodside

Tell the dealer to eat the fees, or walk away.

Financing is not through the dealer. It's through Woodside credit in california.

Woodside came highly recommended on other car sites.

Basically, they said the car is to new and they are not sure what direction the value will go. So, they want me to put down a hefty payment to cover the possible loss in value.
I assured them that I had no intention on defaulting on the loan regardless of the cars value decrease.

Yep, looks like I need to walk away from this one. Dam, shame the car is so clean and in amazing condition. Hurts to walk away.

nope

You still may sway the dealer to cover it. After all, they have a car to move :D

Already tried with the dealer. Came down two thousand and that was it.

Take it or leave it. They know what they got and they know a city as big Houston their is someone who will snap it up.

The dealer keeps a mercury Marauder on their lot at all times. They know the market and the value.

If it was some Japanese lot who didn't care or know it would be different.

Is it the car of your dreams?

I have many dream cars. This one of them. The other is a El Camino the list goes on.

I think the price and loan can be better. Not happy with either and neither are willing to budge.

Then walk.

There are definitely higher mile cars just as well taken care of by members on this board for less money. IMHO the two recent trilogy cars were deals of a lifetime.

Get a ride in a mild roots supercharged marauder, they are perfect.

That seems to be the consensus on here. With a super charger the cars come alive.
Perhaps I should look in to going that direction.

Just curious about the reliability with the mods?

They are not under boost unless you put them there. :D

As excellent as this MM sounds to be, the dealer will not have a lot of offers above what the Kelley Blue Book or The Black Book values it at.

Black Book values are usually a lot lower and what dealers try to refer to when purchasing your car. They refer to the much higher Kelley Blue Book values when trying to sell a car to you.

You may wait a while, until the dealer is really hungry to sell and bring in the Black Book and Blue Book values with you.

You can't go through someone else? You don't have your regular financial institution? was asking because I had no trouble doing 2 loans (not at same time) on mines. Last, and current loan started in Sept 2013. they just remind me of car age and ask if I could talk seller down more but I think in the car financing business they just want to ensure the money they loan can be recovered if buyer defaults somehow they not stuck with car worth half of the loan payoff because a Marauder, a Mustang, a Lightning all are just automobiles to them nothing special, just items to be bought & sold.
I hope you get it, because it will be gone. I only wish that if you didn't get it I could take the trip down and drive it back to Dallas/Ft Worth area.:)

It comes down to what you want to pay in the end for a marauder ! Good luck keep us posted! Sounds like a good looking ride :)

The other four banks don't loan on cars over five years.

I decided to see what the dealer could find. I called them to follow up on my application I sent in online yesterday. Finance manager told me she would call me back. They are closed for the night and I never got a call back. Looking grim.

I can hope they can't sell the car and the price will drop, but doubt it. This car is to clean.

What really sucks is I loose my 500 bucks I put down to reserve the car. Boy, I hate dealers. Oh, well I just got schooled on trying to finance a 11 year old car.

It's not over yet I got til saturday.
