Since it was brought up that the Chucks Show is gone I was thinking maybe we ought to start thinking of an alternative if we plan on meeting up in the future. I sat around and thought a while and this is what I came up with:

- We should plan a meeting once a month someplace;

- Maybe it would be best if we decide on a normal date first, like the first Saturday of the month or whatever ( I always thought Saturdays would be best just because people who work M-F still would have a day off after, also, if we knew weather was going to be real bad on Saturday we could reschedule for Sunday);

- Rather than dropping $10 a month for the privilege of another group to make money off us maybe we should meet for late breakfast or lunches instead and keep our money. If youve gone to Chucks in August or September when it was 100 degrees in the shade you know it does get old. Most eating places have room enough where 5-10 cars can park side by side for unofficial "shows";

- Lets spread the wealth and go to places all over the metroplex (and even nearby towns like maybe Granbury or something). Maybe one month we meet in Keller for lunch or the next month we meet in hey, Rowlett or Garland (!);

- I think if we decide online here for the first meeting (maybe later this month), we can decide there and then where we will go for the next month and then post it here (so that means, have someplace in mind for the next meeting!);

- Though Im not a big fan of organized activities, I vote Maury as our de-facto LEADER/CHIEF MORALE OFFICER/SPOKESMAN/PRESIDENT FOR LIFE. All other offices are not needed in my opinion (Maury, we need you and Pat, your services as OFFICIAL SCRIBE is needed as well);

Thats about it. After no responses to Rods breakfast idea and with Chucks gone I dont want our small troupe of MM owners to disappear to the four winds like the Mercury ads for the Marauder. Speak up!!!!! That goes for you regulars who never post online, not mentioning any names.....

There's a hamburger place in Mansfield by the name of Charlie's that serve half pound patty burgers, it's just west of the intersection of 157 and Debbie Ln. (1187). Yesterday they had a small car show in their parkin lot, about 20 cars. I'm sure they would be happy to host a Marauder car show.

No more SVT shows? What did I miss?

Would be nice to get all the different Ford performance groups together, Marauders, SVT, TALON, Mustang ect, maybe a night at the Galaxy Drive In in Ennis.

Theres always the Bass Pro Shop shows in Grapevine too.

How about Yall come down to San Antonio once or twice this year. I wouldn't mind setting it up and we could do a get together at the local historic park that has a river that runs thru it.....also nearby beer factory tour, museum, Zoo, Driving Range and resturaunts all with in walking distance....I can rent out a pavillion and we could do a bar-b-q. Even a play ground for the kids...

Sorry Mike!!

Already been to San Antonio twice since our last Chucks GTG. My boss is now in SA so our meetings are there.

Saw a black MM in the Grady's? BarBQ parking lot across from the airport. Anyone you know???

Anyway all, we do need to keep this thing going. I like the idea from Vortex about a different location each month.

How about we decend as a grop on some of the other weekend shows around the metroplex??

Just an idea.

Vortex;

I'll be happy to assist in any way I can. When Cruzer say's jump I'll ask how high on the way up.

A late lunch or supper with show is OK.

So far NTM has an activity in Lufkin with Mr. Jones on the 8th March. I'm going to try and make that, this will be the third annual Lufkin Drag Race Fest. SID210 from SA is also coming to that event.

What's the deal with no more Chuck's? I was hoping to come out to a show with you guys, even though I now drive a Dodge.

Chucks

John, yes, Chucks is gone--talked to some of the Mustang folks at Autorama today--The Svt Club has not made a decision as yet--should be out in a week or so. As I've said, let's try Christian Cruisers in March for a good get-to-gether and to plan our future---we gotta make a decision to start someplace--so let's make it--no generalities--concrete info on times and places all over the Metroplex area--Times a wastin'--speak up, one way or another. See you somewhere--Maury :help:

lost connection

somehow I wasn't connected to the NTM forum. I was wondering where you guys were. Anyway, I set myself up for subscription tonight. So I hope I'm back in the loop. Cheers.

oops, that's the same day as the Easter egg hunt for the grandkids, but since this is later in the day, I'm gonna try. Do you think they will wear me out? Cheers.

What about the SVT Show?

I received an invitation from the SVT Club of N TX today. Their new location is Bankston Ford in Frisco. March 8 Anyone interested?

Frisco, uh it's about the worse place to go for me because there isn't a straight route because of Lake Lewsiville. Maybe?? Cheers.

Sure, Rumble-I'll bring a shot of whisky and a pair of pliers. We'll take care of that tooth in no time...
