Hey Guys,

Just imagining if 2011 mustang GT 5.0 engine & 6-speed auto tranny can be installed on our marauders w/o any major modification.

waiting your comments,

Hasn't been performed to my knowledge so The without major modifications part is a great unknown. Anytime you plug in a motor and trans from another platform your going to have hurdles just takes time $$$ expertise to get it done.

I think it depends on what your definition of "major" is.
I think it will be a major PITA

Swapping a 5.0/ 6 speed manual would be "easier" with a 05 Marquis being it has the same basic PCM type the 2011 Mustang has. I would rather swap over all the interior/exterior bits vs gutting the entire electrical system. Re-tuning the FRPP PCM or even more ninja would be to use the stock PCM from a rolled 2011 GT

I looked at doing this before. i had even gone so far as to acquire a 2011 pcm and wiring harness from the dealership in prep for making the purchase of the motor but i was going to use the stock manual tranny from the receiving car (2004 mustang). the motor does mount right up to our existing mounts but I'm uncertain about the transmition fitment in the marauder because of my limited knowledge if the cars. i dont see major mechanical obstacles until you get down to the nitty gritty electrical work. this is a very capable and realistic mod for any one with enough time and money. also as far as the exhaust goes i know it would still require a bit of modding and fabing but BBK makes long tubes for the 2011 5.0 for a 03-04 mustang body. still will take a good bit of tinkering but may be a good start point for someone trying to break ground on the project. just my 2 cents but id like some one doing this project to try and go manual at the same time!! damn i miss a good stick shift.

Only a matter of time before someone does it. I wouldn't bother with anything less than a Shelby variant.

I can see that as being appealing but to me with such a huge difference in price, added difficulty of the swap, and the actual HP difference it seems a bit more beneficial to go with the 5.0. drop it in add a 302 intake manifold and a twin turbo setup or maybe go strong but steady with the new E-Force supercharger. i dunno... my 2 cents

the idea crossed my mind many times engine fitment isnt the problem its mostly electrical but due to electrical work not being my specialty it would be a challenge for me. i see someone doing it soon now that the 5.0 is reasonably cheap with PCM. If you go on copart get a rolled car or rear ended car pull the motor(motor mounts and PCM) you shoudnt have a problem doing the same out of your marauder and swapping it in as long as you know how to weld and tune.

I think its doable get a wrecked 2011 gt with an auto trans and remove the entire powertrain management system with trans harness and go from there.............

only problem is finding a GT that wasnt wrecked in the front end and still runs...if anyone has the funds to do it i can find a 5.0 for ya for cheap i do auctions off of co-part all the time.

Now THIS is what needs to go under the hood of a Marauder!!

9.42 @ 150 mph - 1/4 mile
206+ mph - standing mile
...............:bows:

....and I bet it costs a heck of a lot less than Shelby's GT1000....
Bah! Trying to figure out how to make this fit
