I confirmed with my Uncle that Saturday July 18 will be fine for our annual gathering. As I am no longer in the area, I won't be there in person. But mom and dad should be able to make a presence and add to the overall Marauder headcount (unless Mom wants to bring her '72 Mustang instead...)

So for the regulars, nothing really has changed this year. Plan to meet around 1:00 PM to BS and chit-chat. We sit down and eat around 2:00 PM. Not sure how hot it will be, but if it's not too bad, I'm sure you can eat outside.

I know this post is kind of last minute with only a 10 day notice, but once I get a prelim headcount, I'll give my uncle a call with anticipated numbers.

We so missed you, Charlie--no one can fill your shoes, but I'll give it a shot:

1 Blue Tim & Joan (Yimma)
1 DTR Connie & Jack (HammerDown & Fordfrk)
1 Black Gordon & Chris (Haggis & Ladyhawke
1 Fusion Chris & Kelly (Ctrlraven)

Also, Kelly parents & nephews (4)
and Joan's two sisters & 1 hubby) (3)

So, 15 in all. We had to sit inside for the good eats this time; WAY too hot outside. Chris & Joan took some pics, maybe they would post them up? Come on ladies, we're waiting.................:D

Thanks for the recap Connie. I'll edit the events post in my signature. I saw some pics on FaceBook and thought there were 2 Black MMs with the DTR in convoy to (or from) Captain Dan's.

Sorry we missed it; but we ended up spending the day in Middleburg, VA for a birthday outing with the family. It was our first visit to Middleburg and we may do it again in the fall. Maybe you and Jack would be interested. We hit Mt. Defiance for Hard Cider and Rum Cocktail tasting, browsed the shops in downtown, stopped in the Night Fox Pub, headed over to Cana Winery for tasting and snackies, then back to the Red Fox Inn & Tavern (dates to 1728) for dinner. A very full but enjoyable day out with the "kids".

Bern and I saw this place and just had to get a pic while thinking of you ....

Sorry Kelly and I had to leave out earlier than we wanted to. I had a service call I needed to go do for work and eventually got home around almost 9pm.

Connie & Jack, thanks again for the Fusion trunk mat, Kelly is very happy to have it now. :beer:

Thanks Connie for the recap. After we finished eating at Captain Dan's we did a convoy with the 3 Marauders over to Linnganore Winery near New Market, Maryland which was holding a Reggae music & craft festival. Unfortunately it was packed and no place to park. So we all decided to go our separate ways. Altho it was a fun day and great seeing everyone. Here are a few pics of us eating and the convoy.

Years ago we stayed with friends in Leesburg and visited Middleburg for the day; walked the town, visited a winery--much the same as what you did. Yes, we would do that again. We can stay with our friend in Leesburg--we'll bring her along!!!! Would like to visit the "Hammerdown" barbeque place, also.
