6 June Cooper Aerobics

Vortex

Native Texan
Autos in the Park at the Cooper Institute is coming up Sunday, June 6th from noon til 4 pm. I havent made contact with them yet but wanted to get an idea if anybody here is interested. Let me know over the coming few days and Ill get in touch with them. Jim

Hey Jim;

This sounds good. I'll check with HPP and see if they can do my dyno tune the next day, Monday.

Pat

Thats good Pat! I just sent in an email to them and I told them we had about 10 cars expected so all you North Texas guys dont make a liar out of me! Its a great show, proceeds go to charity (I think it was $20, half goes to the Cooper INstitute and half goes to the Scottish Rite Childrens Hospital if I remember right). Anyway, lots of cool cars, Ferraris, classics, not just your normal bunch of Corvettes and Camaros. So sound off guys. How bout it Maury/Dave Potter/Adam/Sam/Gary and everyone else?? Post up!

Hopefully the lack of responses so far is temporary. I will need some sort of headcount soon so sound off guys!

Since we were kinda in the corner last time I asked if we could be moved and here is the answer I received:

Jim:

Yes, we’re set for Sunday, June, 6th.

With luck we’ll go on-line today at CooperAerobics.com with registration information and we’ll also be ramping up our email communications to attendees.

We traditionally arrange cars from south to north on the campus with US cars on the south end followed by Italian and English in the middle and German cars on the north. We’ll try and move you to the northern section of the U.S section.

Thanks for your continuing interest.

Regards,

Tom

Jim;

Got my registration invite today.

Are we still on? Any response from the NTM's?

If it's just you and me, would you please smear soap all over your car so mine can win?

Cheers,

Pat

June 6??

I'm still trying to make events but the work keeps getting in the way as does the kids schedules.

I will try!! (Famous last words)

Pat, Im going to go regardless. I think Ill wait to register until midweek next week and at that time will send them a courtesy email with how many we are expecting (so they can make proper plans) based on the responses I see here. If anybody else is interested later they can register on their own and no guarantees they will park with group. Might just be me and you Pat.

Ok boys, Im callin ya out!

Two Hawks
Rumble
Cruzer
DPotter
MercNasty
jfclancy
fitz
and all those I forgot. Sound off either yay or nay, just so we know you are still out there. Tango Yankee.

See--it ain't easy getting the gang together

I'm in---can't say for sure, what with family obligations, but, for now, things look good--sure enjoyed the last one--see you later, Maury

So far its me, Pat, Maury and maybe Adam. Anyone else thinking about it? Ive got to tell them appoximately how many to expect from our group and I was going to let them know on Wednesdayso if you are thinking about it, let me know. As a reminder, this is a real nice show under the trees in a park setting and the proceeds go 50% to Scottish Rite Hospital and 50% to the Cooper Institute (making it tax deductable I guess) and not some promoters pocket like 90% of the "car shows" in the DFW area. Plenty of neat cars to look at (not your standard Camaro Chevelle affair, but brit and Italian exotic cars too), there is a small cafe that will be open and if it looks like its going to rain in the forecast they will reschedule. Thats about it, I hope more of you guys can make it. Jim

Count me in, I will fill out the reg form tomorrow or tuesday. Cruzer i havent forgot about you, i will be giving you a call man.

I think we should do like last year and meet at the Le Madeline on Preston just north of Forest at 0900 for coffee so that we can then drive in as a group, Im sure they will appreciate that as well. Ill assume all are ok with this, if not sound off.

Just emailed our contact there and told him we had possibly six cars coming. They have to plan parking there as you are aware. As of now:

Jim (me)
Maury
Pat
MercNasty
Adam (maybe)

Remember, Le Madelines at 0900 hrs!

Got this back today:

Jim:

I have your car registered.

It will help our pre-show registration process if you can have your other club members send me their registrations as soon as they can..

We look forward to seeing you on the 6th and thanks for your continuing support.

Regards,

Tom
