on a MM with an Eaton swap done, using SVT fuel pump and a KB 40amp BAP, do you think adding a MAFia (diablosport) would be necessary or over kill???Thanks for a response.bugsy

Lidio hasn't been on the site in a little over 2 months.

The lightning maf should be fine unless you wanna be over 450rwhp and have room to grow.

I asked the same question when I was buying the parts for my swap. The consensus at that time was the lighting/cobra MAF would be close to pegging. If you read some of the early post from zack he said some do and some don't. I don't know but I bought one just be safe they're relatively cheap.

I have a Lightning maf and it maxed out on the dyno before redline.

Exactly. There is variance among MAFs. I've got a Lightning MAF on my car as well, but it was within duty cycle at redline, and I'm at 423 hp, but if I decide to go further, that may not be the case; so, I've got a MAFia tucked away to give some flexibility in the future.

Redundant???

My actual question is doesn't the BAP and the MAFIA due the same thing? adjust voltages to the fuel pump..

No. They have different functions.

A BAP boosts your fuel pressure. It does this by increasing the voltage applied to the fuel pump. Instead of 12v-13.2v it boosts it to 13.2v adjustable to 14.4v, IIRC. It's like putting your fuel pump into overdrive.<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

The MAFia extends your MAF's usable range. The MAFia calibrators allow you to more precisely control and regulate MAF sensor voltage that feeds the electronic engine control (ECM) to determine how much fuel should be delivered to the combustion chambers via the fuel injectors in order to maintain the best air/fuel ratio for combustion.
