Another Marauder Gone?

More Muscle Mercurys
On the way to work, a car pulled out of gas station accross the lanes and I skidded my Marauder into the driver side rear. The Marauder is repairable but the cost of the replacement parts has put the car into salvage-total loss. The Marauder is a Fully-Contented Low-medium Mileage California Marauder, never seen snow or salt, and not driven in the rain, with records.
Anyone in the west selling their Marauder? Jim

I know this sucks but you are OK. The only thing specific on the front is the grille and bumper and they are available. Other parts are common to the Crown Vic.
If your insurance won't fix it, after you demand it, keep the car, take what is left of the money, shop it around and get it repaired. I am in Washington State but if I can help let me know.

the aftermarket front end parts fit fine just get a ford grill you would be happier
Did it pop the airbags on it

I'm glad you're okay after that accident. The Marauder-specific front bumper cover, headlight assy., grill & corner lights are available, but it may take a little bit of research to locate them.{ Not necessarily N.O.S.,but good used parts.} Everything else is the same as the Grand Marquis. If the air bags didn't deploy, it should not be declared a total loss/salvage by your insurance co. :dunno: I would definitely demand your auto insurer to fix your Marauder & not for them to take the easy way out on their behalf to write it off as a loss. :argue: :mad2:  :censor:

Drivers out here suck. Sorry about your car.

Aftermarket front bumper cover still available on ebay. Also JC Whitney carries aftermarket front bumper cover also. People here have said the fit is ok.

Also, Brian is entertaining selling his modded Marauder. You might check with him if you are looking for another.

Glad you are alright.

Hopefully you will get the car fixed and not sent to the MM grave.

Just this morning on a local Chicago car forum. Someone posted up that they had seen and really smashed up Silver Marauder on route 59 in West Chicago out near me.

Eaton Swap + 4.10's = Wreeeeeeeeeedom!!

Have to agree with these guys. From the pics it doesn't look to bad. Fix it and get Maraudering soon.:)

Sorry to hear of this unfortunate accident! I hope you are driving a Marauder soon, either this one repaired or a new used one!

I would see what the insurance company gives you for it the decide. Like others have stated you can fight to have it repaired but how hard with it being a salvaged title.

One of our local members just lost his Marauder to someone turning infront of him....smashed up the front end....airbags deployed and the FD had to pry him out of the car as the doors wouldnt open.....he is okay, but bruised up pretty good. The other driver was okay too. It was totaled too.

WTF? Marauders dropping like flies. Glad people walked away, tho.
agreed if this keeps up we are going to see more clones out their not that it matters that much they still draw heads jus lack the power of that wonderful DOHC 4.6 motor.

If you look closely at the photos, the wire goes up to the sensor mounted on the upper radiator support. The air bag sensor was crushed!
The lower part of the bumper cover is intact. I was braking hard and the other car bounced up into the grille and radiator. All the parts that need replacement are removable. No hit in the rear or sides and both doors open. Jim

Man that's hard to look at, but your OK so all is good. How bad does the other vehicle look?
It happened on a 7 lane wide boulevard at 6:30 in the morning in the dark. The other driver pulled out of the gas station and across the lanes and was just starting to turn into the left turn lane. The other car damage was to the driver rear corner and the passenger rear wheel broke. The other car is likely totaled but could have the body pulled and repaired. I was braking so hard, the Marauder left skid marks (the pulsating type). The Marauder headlights and grille (only the small pieces) were still in the intersection on the following Monday. At the hospital, an hour or so after the accident, I was seeing sparkles. Jim
