Hey guys I have been on the forum for a little while and have talked to a few good guys but haven't posted much. I have 2 marauders both 2004 one black one silver both with less then 12000 miles. Other then that family we have 3 other panther bodies, 2 crown vics 00 and 04 and and a grand marq 04. Now after that here is my question do any of you have classic car insurance like Hagerty? My concern is the value of our cars and the possibility of replacement of a low mile car and what that would cost. I have Country Companies now which I love and get a good price but im afraid G-d for bid something happens to either car where will I be. They don't offer a value insurance where Hagerty does. I know a lot of you are knowledgeable and have been in the Marauder world longer then me any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys and gals for reading.

I don't have Hagerty's on the Marauder, but have it on my '66 Mustang. I don't recall the stated value of the policy, but they will require the car to be garaged, can't be a daily driver and there's a mileage limit. It only costs me about $150 a year.

I have American Modern (METLIFE) on mine.

Agreed Value os $45K which is just over half of investment.
6000 miles a year, garage kept. $1100 a year.

I've had Hagerty on my '63 for 3 years now. Lots of restrictions, but haven't had any issues. I would use someone else if I drove the car more.

i'm going through the process myself on this. and yep it's a little annoying. one place gave me a price of $154 on a 67 mustang (20K) and almost a $1000 on an 03 marauder (20K)
how are two cars with the same agreed value so far apart? both with a 5000 mile a year limit?
also grundy is giving me crap cause my daily drivers aren't 08 or newer WTH does it matter?

i'll post up what i get on a couple more quotes and let's compare notes.

Get the actual policy definition of what is paid when there is a claim.
Generally - Stated Value is the max they will pay, not the amount. Agreed Value is the amount they will pay for a total loss. Actual Cash Value - everything must be taken into consideration, resale value, etc.

Good stuff fellas. Keep it coming.

Might want to check into JC Taylor. I listed my daily drive as my '92 LSC when I put insurance on my 79 Mark. There is a mileage restriction though, to and from meets. I told them I don't take it to meets and get it out about once a week to shine it drive it and put gas in it and they said it was fine. I haven't put more than 2000 miles a year on it since I bought it. Think I have it insured for @ $5-6000 with a yearly of @85. Got to bump up the coverage soon though. They also insure my Dads '68 Cougar. We've had no problems but also have had no claims as yet.

Update on my findings.
JC Taylor said they wouldn't insure a car less than 19 yrs old
Hagerty seemed comparable but its on a case by case as far as NOS goes, I told them it was a show car and it won't be used and they said apply but no guaranteed until it passes the underwriters.
American Collectors was the same price as Hagerty, but said absolutely no trips to the store or ice cream shop where as Hagerty said it wouldn't be a problem.
I'm going to work on a couple more tomorrow but so far I want to use Hagerty if they'll have me with the NOS. (Hag. Wants under hood/trunk 1 ext and 1 int picture) (American wants one exterior)

Has anyone heard of Classic Underwriters and how are they?

THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!

a lady at grundy gave me the name of that place last year and i lost it. she was out and some guy there wouldn't give it to me the other day:mad2:

i just called them and they have unlimited miles and just ask that it's NOT your daily driver) 2 pics required
you can use your car to go to dinner and leave unattended at a show.

i passed on the towing option (covers $250 for $10 a year) but i don't like dealing with reimbursement for little things.

here's my quote:

67 mustang 20k
03 marauder 20k
04 marauder 50k
0 deductable 100/300 liability
$1690 per year for all three

I have Hagerty on my 70 Bronco, agreed value of 25K. they were the only ones who would insure it because it is "modified". it has a 3" lift and 33's and a fiberglass tub. I pay about $150 a year. Any modifications to a vehicle gets most places pretty excited.

wow thats great I'll have to look at them as well. so the 20k is the agreed price then?

All rights folks that's the best price for the loosest rules I could find so my policy kicks in tomorrow.
Hope this helps those of you who only pleasure drive your rides.
