Any user info on Cooper RS3-a tires?

I've noticed recently quite a few of you have gone to the Coopers (as I have just recently). Was wondering if there is any 'insider' info on these yet...such as issues with center treadwear on rears, etc, that used to be common with the BFGs.

TIA and happy motoring!:burn:

Nothing negative to say about them. The wet performance is amazing. And they smoke up real nice not that I would know or anything:lol:

I'm a fan, I am not amazed by the wet performance myself, but they aren't bad in wet and have good hydroplane resistance. They are good and sticky on dry, and are very predictable if they do slide out. They look sharp, ride a little softer than the bfgs, corner well, and steer easy. I am pleased.

Ive had mine for about a month,...very happy with wet and dry traction. Smooth ride and just look bitcin when you shine em up with that smooth side wall. I priced around and found that Tread depot had the best price. I then called Discount Tire and convinced them to price match ( actually $10 cheaper after hagelling ) Tread Depot.

I'm going with the Cooper's. Discount tire just raised their price on the BFG's $11 to $200 each (fronts) in the last week! What a bunch of crap! Tread Depot has the Cooper's for $145 each plus $23 shipping for 2 fronts. I'll order them up shortly.

I'm liking them so far....very sticky on dry pavement, but managed to get a little chirp from first to second thanks to my 4.10s...not even at WOT either! One of the guys at the shop where I had my gears installed said it looks like I have slicks on the rears. On my drive to Charlotte the weekend before last, it was a nice, smooth ride.

I had a set of Coopers a looong time ago (back in '94 on my '89 Prelude) wrapped around American Racing Eagle 5-star rims and liked them...thought I was the shiznit with my 5-stars and 1000-watt stereo system...and I was! I wonder if I can find my pics of that car....
