Stopped at a station this evening, and told the attendant I wanted 5 bucks worth of gas. He took the money, farted in my window, and said "Thank you, come again!"

Yer bad.

Well it's almost up there for 93 octane. It's at $2.95 now. It's been going up about 8-10 cents every Wednesday and Saturday. :(

Well, at least on Wednesdays, it's double green stamp days!

Good god - how old am I?

$5 a gallon for premium by mid summer?

NBC news reported last night that gas could reach $4.50 a gallon for regular by mid summer. That puts premium near $5.00 a gallon. Yikes! that would be $375 a month for me to commute.

Geeeee thanks alot Donny. I coulda waited until June for that news. :( Maybe I should run out and buy a Prius .......... whew ...... I am glad that thought has passed !!!

Last week it was $3.87/gal for 91 in Westlake Village, CA (north of Los Angeles). It's over 0.50 cheaper a few miles away.

We all gotta invest our 401ks and IRAs into Oil Stocks.
At least this way whenever you buy fuel, you'll feel better knowing that
some of this money is making its way back into your RETIREMENT.

If gas gets to $5/gal, everything is going to stop.
My wife will stop going to work.
I will stop going to work.
Our son will stop going to school.

If it isn't within walking distance, it just won't exist...

We will both need to get 2nd jobs just to be able to afford to commute
and if that's the only reaon we need 2nd jobs, then something is
definitely very wrong in this world...

Try to figure this out, 87 has dropped to $2.99 and 93 dropped .09 per gallon. not sure what changed in the last 36 hrs....

The threat of a congressional investigation...the oil companies feel the need to appease. 'Course, I can't understand THAT either...these price-gouging investigations never actually go anywhere. Congress makes a big stir, Big Oil grunts and says "yah, alright, we'll lower prices..." and they back the prices down a little...and then the investigation goes away. Go figure.

92 now up to $3.55/gall out here in Honolulu...no end in sight.

You may want to re-name this to:
Anyone not gone over $3 a gallon?
PS : REALLY glad I have some oil stocks!
I'm almost making enough money on my invesments to pay for gas!:alone:

Filled up today with Sunoco 93 at $2.799 in Virginia. Our particular area runs a little lower than the rest of Northern Virginia, DC and Maryland for some reason. I must live on a regional pricing zone boundary. :D

That is 30 to 40cts less than here in Ft.Myers Fl.
