That's interesting.... I also heard there definitely be no '05 or '06... I heard Steve Babcock say that at Ennis.

Excellent question, I've heard from Jerry Barnes that something is coming out for 2005 Ford Catalog due to lack of time for the 2004 but never ask him about which one? Perhaps Jerry could elaborate a little more in regards to what will happen!

The above is from a SVT paragraph, is SVT picking up the MM, if so would this be the first Mercury SVT car?
But like Logan said, it could be the crack or could it be crank?

I've read a lot of bullsh*t this past year, and I've been told a lot more. I don't know what to make of this recent 411, it seems impossible to add things up anymore.
I have my own theory about all of this corporate nonsense, but all any of us can do is simply wait for the roll out. An '05 supercharged Marauder from a division that closed last week...Right. Whatever...
Ford is as fickle as any Irish housewife. I'm not going to worry or wonder over this, it's easier (and more profitable) to speculate in money market funds. I can anticipate the market to some degree, but when I sleep with Ford and it's corporate decisions, I'm really "getting lucky."
Ford will do what it wants to do and with as much forethought about their decisions as any Bridget who suspects her husband is frolicking outside their home.
Someday, we will drive up to our Lincoln Mercury dealership homes for an oil change, and see the lights turned out as we pull up in the drive. We will know someone is home, but they won't answer the door. The locks have been changed, and while we beat on the door we'll notice our service records scattered carelessly over the lawn and blowing in the wind, just to tell all neighbors we've been sent packing.
I really don't care what Ford, Lincoln, Mercury, or, SVT does in '05.
All I look at these days, is how many more work days until my next days off.

I enjoy your posts. I already have my SVT emblem on the back of my MM so I guess I can call mine an 2005??? Who knows what is going to happen. We can all be thankful that we own a piece of automotive history that we will enjoy for years to come.

If you're interested in SVT, check out this Autoweek article- SVT will not produce any cars (including the Cobra) for a year and a half.

On the other hand, I took my boy for a 300 mile spin yesterday, tunes blasting and it is just what the doctor ordered. Love the car, hate the dealer. I have gotten used to it. Oddly enough, I would buy another one of these cars despite the dealer's approach to them. Go figure.
