belt slipping sound when i go WOT

i keep hearing a sound like a belt slip when i floor the car.
it also happens in 1st at times.
the belt looks good and tension is also good, could be tighter but i have no clue if i am right.
another issue is the kick i get from 1st to 2nd gear.
i am ordering a tune from MO and i hope that solves the issue.
he said that most people order a 7 scale trans kick and i have no clue what that means.
This is my DD and i like to cruise easy but having power on demand is a good thing in my book
though he asked for the processor code and i cannot find it
not on the door or the port under the dash
sorry for posting numerous issues in this post
but i figure that if i can get any answers that would be great.

Computer code is in the drivers front door jamb by the hinges

Squeal might be belt tensioner or just a crap belt. Buy a new belt
 
it's a white sticker with 4 letters/number combo like BMDO or MAV2 on it like said above, by the driver door hinges area of door jamb. no other info on it at all..like 1inch by half an inch size

If you have any questions, ask Marty.

There are two arrows on the tensioner that will line up if the tensioner is in good shape.

Buy a Gatorback belt.

The harsh shift maybe due to a Jmod.

how do i check for a j mod? is it obvious?

The j mod is inside the transmission. If the car shifts super hard it may have it


Did you find the sticker in the door jamb?

If your sticker is missing, the code is written on the pcm that's located up by the brake pedal on the firewall

nope not on the door area you suggested

I did find a small sticker near the module and some engraving but my eye sight is going south. laying upside down and looking is actually harder than i thought it would be.
The engraved part is near illegible and the sticker has a bunch of stuff...
though not anything with the beginning letters you stated.
I will keep looking and i am sure i will have that aha! moment.
I will in the end wind up having a mechanic use a code unit to read it, if all else fails.
I decided to go out and just WOT last night ...Safely of course.
i took off the TC and she just flew down the blvd with no hard shifting at all
smooth as silk then i replaced the TC and tried again same result except that from 5000 rpm and up it almost felt like a rev limiter was bogging the revs until the next gear in sequence.
she refused to even shift out of first before i hit the next light ...loved it
I will play with it some more.
I guess the hard hit is actually in the the 1 to 2 gear split at low speed.
if i go manual and shift at 2200 rpm its pretty good.....
will chirp through 3rd
though the power band is not even close to the full potential.

The mod bug is not a bug IMO ....
We who are perfectionists just want everything to be PERFECT.
The smallest sound in the cabin causes me to go crazy until i find and fix it.
The same goes for the rest of the car.
I cannot stand by and allow it .....
So as i read all the posts , i can see that 99% of us are just like me...lol
I am so happy to have found you ...My fellow MM owners who have been dreaming of this car ever since we got our first CVPI and thought damn this tank is slow. And why does everyone keep driving like this around me...duh??

There's no practical way to "tell" if your transmission has the J-mod...it involves enlarging some holes in the valve body separator plate and (possibly) removing/exchanging an accumulator spring or two. The results of the J-mod are obvious if you've ever driven a bone stock MM. Stock, the transmission tries to get into as high a gear as possible as soon as possible while with the J-mod it will hold gears longer and shift more quickly. On downshifts, the stock shift schedule requires a much deeper push on the loud pedal while the J-mod will DS more readily.

Most of the benefits of a J-mod can be obtained electronically through a good tune. Marty will take good care of you...
