Best hopes for traction on the street?

Wondering what y'all have done to get the best traction from a stop on the street with a roots type blower?
Currently have 4:10 rear gears and am not switching them out anytime soon, but considering different rear tires possibly?

Maybe lower the tire pressure a bit?
I currently run all tires at 30psi; for some reason anything above that will reveal slightly increased road noise above 80mph.
Makes it feel like the road has rougher concrete is the best way to describe it.

Any thoughts, insights?
 
What brand, model and size rear tires are you currently running?

What condition is your limited slip differential in?
 
I run 305/45R18 Drag radials. Without them the car would be useless on the street. Nitto NT05 are good but Mickey Thompson ET Street R are better. I have widened rims.

Question, what modifications if any were done to make this fit/ work on your Marauder?

You need to have your wheels widened to 9.5 to fit 305-45-18..may still rub on shock boot. Weldcraft in Detroit has widened thousands of Marauder wheels.. Around $275 per wheel plus shipping. 2-6 week turn around pending their workload

Thanks, I live in Detroit and have spoken with them about my rims. You answered my question. It may still rub on the shock boot. Is there any spacers that would eliminate that?

Could use a 3-5mm spacer. Rubbing on the boot is really nothing. It may not at all. 305 are drag radials and are pricey and don't work well in rain and wear quickly if using daily
 
Drag radials work fine in the rain. I've done it many times. I'm tired of people who have never done it saying this. If you have enough power to need drag radials, then NO tire will be good in the rain.

Concur 100% But yes, lifetime expectancy is better measured in hours not miles.

Learn how to drive. I never bothered with widened rims or drag radials. I preferred it bring the drivers car that it was and had no big issues pedaling it with good Nitto 420’s or the new 421Q’s. And I liked the ability to brake traction at 80 and up on purpose when I wanted to blow off some steam. [emoji16]
