I just installed their MAUCAT system on the Marauder this weekend. I decided to do the install on jackstands in the garage which was a bad decision, for my body at least. Only problem I had was getting the EGR hooked up, the fitting on the headers was off by about 15-20 degrees. Took about 12 hours to do the install, laying on my back and dealing with a 4 and 2 year old every 10 minutes.

Build quality of the headers is just ridiculus good. They clear the steering shaft by a mile, and the starter is actually easier to install with the header than the oe setup. Seat of the pants says I picked up some good power.

Big thanks to Lidio for sending me a tune update to keep me on the road until I can make it to his shop.

There is just one problem though....I have Aero 2525 mufflers on the car. It's stupid loud now, sounds like the Youtube clips of Dooms car with Aeros and longtubes. Any recommendations on a muffler that will take the edge off would be appreciated.
 
That's the setup I'm going with when I'm ready. I thought they offered mufflers as well, no?
 
Congrats on the SW kit. I installed the same one - also had problems with EGR being very tight. The SW turbo mufflers will be loud.

If you want quiet - Get Dynomax Super Turbos that have an overall length of 25" (very similar to factory - but better)
 
What is the mauex cat referencing? I looked it up but the descriptions don't really say anything about it.
 
Hey guys thanks for the positive response! Both our MAUEX-CAT and MAUEX part numbers use our Chambered Turbo mufflers. The use of Hi-Flow cats will help control the sound a bit and keep it nice and clean. Use the cats when possible. The overall length of the SW muffler is 18" in a 5x9 case.

New Product Insight: We are also working on a bolt-in resonator that can be installed in the X-Pipe for better sound control when necessary.
 
If you think its loud now, DO NOT get the SW mufflers. I hated it to the max! I purchased the full system with the high flow cats and it was so loud above 2k rpm I didn't want to put my foot into it at all. Very very raspy. I ended up selling their mufflers after about a month for $50 bucks and replaced them with dynomax units ditched the thin 4 inch tips that came with the system and replaced with factory units. The headers fit well but the rest of the system was a complete headache:mad2: since I had a boat load of issues (there is an old thread about it somewhere). If I had to do it over again I would have just purchased the headers.
 
I already had the SW headers and just finished adding the full SW exhaust system, no cats on mine. I love the sound they are nice and mellow hot rod sound. I will say all the pipe parts made the install time consuming, but fit good in the end. Its not too loud for me and I think is quieter than SW headers with the stock exhaust, which is what I was runing. If you want quiet keep it stock. It looks real pretty under there too.
 
I heard Fairlaine's exhaust and it sounds great and NOT very loud. If you guys think that's loud then don't try to hot rod a car.
