A short excerpt of a test drive from Muscle Car magazine:

"Depress the clutch, apply the brakes, slip the gearbox into neutral and twist the key. It takes but a second for the Cobra plant under the hood to jump to life, quickly settling into a somewhat distant rumble that can be felt through every pedal at your feet. And this is where the familiar muscle car sense of performance vanishes. You see the Cobra analog gauges, witness the cage around you, feel the stick in your right hand and the bucket that hugs you, but taking off from first does not produce the neck-snapping thrust you would expect. It could very well have been the fact that we were traversing a long drive sporting speed bumps, but even with the short thrust of the right foot, acceleration is as smooth and as natural as a Buick LaCrosse. Time for a second attempt, at the intersection we smash the accelerator to the floor. There it is, but the high buckets prevent the familiar snap from materializing. It's a short throw into second, and with the foot still in it, we're into third while the needle sharply climbs the circular ladder. We're in fourth only briefly before being directed down a side road featuring a 90-degree downhill left. Earlier, the rental car required extreme braking to make this corner, but the suspension under the Cobra Vic holds an even keel, the two-inch bar up front taking the g-force as if it was nothing, even while braking and manipulating the gearbox down a step or two. In a flash, we're through the corner--no time to look at the meter, but we're certain we were a long way from zero. In an instant, the trans is in fourth. Our only regret was that we didn't hit a stretch of pavement that allowed enough room for us to hit fifth. Stopping power? Did we mention that we're looking into a set of these pads for our own cars?"

You can't build this car for the asking price and own a unique piece of Ford, Bondurant, and Roush history.

Last years Carlysle price [ No Depreciation ] Different # car.
A Good item from FoMoCo's Archives-

I think there was something mentioned that these couldn't be registered or driven in the street.
I recall something to that effect and if thats the case, $25k for a N/A Cobra conversioned vic is pretty steep.

You could but them for about 8K when they first showed up on the market when they were done using them. Threads were .posted on these cars on this site when they were up for sale. I think it was about 5 years ago,

All the vic's have vin #'s & can obtain titles. Fairly expensive & lengthy process.

Apparently you don't appreciate the history of the cars & the build quality of Roush. Roush charged Bondurant 40K (1999 $$) for the conversion of each vic, plus the 30K for the stock unit, makes it a 70K investment by Bondurant for each vic.

So send your stock vic to a fabricator with the above list of mods & see how much they would want to build it for you.

Or buy a nice used Marauder with a clean title and go from there...

Interesting to see it have a fan blade like that and I'm guessing it takes 7 qts of oil.

25 thousand dollar Crown Victoria that has had more men in it beating the crap out of it than Jenna Jamison on location. I don't think so. But good luck with the sale and stuff!

Stock marauder for $10k that I can register tomorrow, $5k for eaton swap, $1k for sparta performance suspension setup and now for $9k less I have a car that will totally dominate a 99 cobra swapped Vic in every way.
GLWS.

This car is titled & can be registered. We'll have to agree to disagree on what you can or can't do for X amount of $$$ & the results you will achieve. One thing for sure is there are only 18 of these built & as time goes on they will keep increasing in value.

Each vic was assigned to a single instructor to give students tours around the track. Preventive maintenance was always performed on these vehicles.

Thanks, I know on other forums the mod would be ripping these guys new ones & deleting their post. They think they can bash then say GLWS, which is BS!

The intent was not to bash, sorry if that's the way it came across.

Hope you're able to get your asking price, would be a future benefit to all Panther owners.

between a cobra vic and mm I'll take the vic very rare with history the mm is just a production car
