Ridiculous Price

Ridiculous price for these Bullitt wheels. I bought blemished 18x10 Bullitt wheels for $60.00 each. I have my 305x45x18 Nittos DRs mounted on them. They work great. They are not forged but casted wheels made in China.

Check this old post in 8/06 concerning these wheels with photos.

I am going to have to get some new wheels for bigger tires with the SC and looking for ideas, kinda like the black chrome.

Those dont look bad, but not my cup of tea....however I always wondered about the Ford GT rims on our cars...

Funny that you should mention that......

I tried a rear size GT supercar wheel on my MM. it clears the inside fine but sticks out.

I like the idea of bullitt style rims on a Marauder, but good luck finding a set that fit :( . Almost all 18X9 bullitt rims I looked at had to low of an offset to fit properly. I test fit one from AmericanMuscle that was 18x9 with a +36mm offset and it stuck out of the front fender well a good inch. If you are trying to put a 18x9 rim on a 2003+ newer Vic or Marquis you will need a +50mm at the least. The Factory Ford GT super car's "front" rims are 18x9 with a +50mm offset so the should fit. link to ford gt wheel: http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts/part_details.asp?PartKeyField=7617
The 2005+ factory Ford bullitt wheels should also fit, but you may need to use a small spacer for brake caliper clearance behind the spokes.

Follow up.

Here are the absolute minimum numbers that should work for the 2003+ panthers. This is from my calculations, it is recommend to test fit rims for clearance before mounting any tires on them.

??x7.5 - 34 to 44mm offset
??x8 - 40 to 50mm offset
??x8.5 - 46 to 56mm offset
??x9 - 52 to 62mm offset

As you can see for every 1/2" the rim gets wider you need to add 6mm of offset.

I don't agree entirely with the offset recommendations. Why for a 9"-wide rim is it recommended to make the offset so large? On the fronts, one should avoid moving the rim much further inward due to clearance issues, and with a 9" wide rim and a 62mm offset, an entire extra inch of inner clearance is required. On the rears, there is a little bit more inner clearance, so this may not matter. I'm not sure how much extra clearance on the rears, but assuming that the widened rims are extended inward, it may be as much as an 1.5" (Can someone please provide details on how our rims are widened and whether spacers are used?). Also, stating that these are "minimum" numbers could lead someone to buy a very large backspace 9.5" or 10" wide rim, which could obviously cause clearance issues on all corners.

As you can see for every 1/2" the rim gets wider you need to add 6mm of offset.
Doing so will keep the face of the rim close to the same position, but adjusts where the centerline falls and reduces your inner clearance. Other factors need to be considered, e.g., the amount of inner clearance and which axle the rim is going on.

Here are some pics of my car with 18 x 8.5 2008 Mustang bullitt wheels (Actual Ford wheels)

I had to use a 1/4 inch spacer on the fronts, but other than that they fit like a glove, and were only $170 apiece !!!

I bought generic center caps on ebay for $40, and had a local sign/graphics shop cut me the mercury logo in black.
I'm not wild about the use of a spacers, but the wheels and logos look great!
