Don't think I can make it. But keeping an eye on this thread.
Ok great! Glad you can make it. We can definitely do Morro Bay. If we had dune buggies Pismo would be a blast. We can definitely see the dunes (on a clear day) from near where we will probably all meet which is right off 101 between Avila Beach Dr. and Spyglass exits on Shell Beach Road at the tennis courts parking lot. But we'll work out all the details in due time. For you guys coming from Nor Cal/Bay Area, could you be down at Shell Beach by say 11 am? Figure we can start gathering between 10:30 and 11 then head over to hiway 1 to Morro Bay and north to Cayucos before taking 41 back over to Atascadero and on to Paso Robles for all the booze related activities then south on 101 down the Cuesta Grade and maybe back to the Shell Beach area for a sunset dinner for anyone who isn't in a rush to go home.22nd sounds good. I can cruise down for that.
As far as an itinerary you got the right idea goin as far as breweries / wineries.. You can’t go wrong on the central coast but I feel like most of the niceities is all sight seeing.. The dunes in Pismo / Grover beach is always a big attraction. Too much stuff to see and do. Morro Bay is also pretty nice. Whatever is clever.

Looking forward to meeting you! Our place is in Shell Beach. Look for something in Pismo Beach, Grover Beach, Arroyo Grande, Shell Beach or San Luis Obispo. If you're heading back north on Sunday you could also look at Templeton and Paso Robles or Atascadero. The area has become a tourist destination so grab something soon. Let us know what you decide on.Ok! I am working on 22nd.
Where abouts are you staying so I can find hotel nearby?
Silver or Black?
Can you guys that are driving down from NorCal and driving up from LA please post if you are able/willing to arrive in Shell Beach between 10:30 and 11am on June 22 to get the party started. That will help me to schedule our day. Thanks!!
Well that sucks!Well, crud! Unfortunately, we are obligated in downtown LA that evening. We are happy to dash up there for breakfast or early lunch, as long as we can head back by about 2:00.
Thanks! You're also invited to possible breakfast with Mark so stay tuned for details.Yes on 11am!

OK great! I'll see how early Mark can get up from LA. Breakfast in Port San Luis should be really nice if it all works out. How are you doing with a hotel?510 and I can probably roll earlier if needed.

Wanted to update you on preliminary plans for Saturday June 22. Spoke with Mark (N40GL) and he & Michelle are going to be available all day on 6/22. They might drive up from LA Friday night so a group breakfast with any of you early birds is a possibility. ( I'm thinking Fat Cats in Port San Luis near the pier around 8:30 or 9 am but details to be announced.)
At 10:30 am the whole group will gather at a designated meeting area, right off 101 on Shell Beach Rd in Pismo. We'll leave there at 11am to drive to Morro Bay and on up Highway 1 as far as Cambria. There's a great place for lunch right on the ocean called Moonstone Grill. Cambria is a really cute town to explore so feel free to look around.
After lunch we will drive over to Paso Robles to cruise the beautiful county roads through wine country stopping at world class vineyards for wine tasting and spectacular scenery. Then it's a short drive to Fire-Stone Walker and all things beer. The brewery complex offers a tasting room, tours and shopping for all kinds of logo gear and gifts.
We will finish off the day with dinner in the area. And for those who aren't heading right home, there are some great micro breweries like Barrel House along with one of a kind shops in nearby in Tin City. They have live music and outdoor areas where you can relax under the stars.
This is still a rough outline but I want to give you a good idea of what's in store. It seems jam packed, but if you want to spend more time in any one place, go ahead & do that and catch up with the group later on. Everyone should relax & just enjoy the day!
There's a poll in another thread. It would really help if you are able to complete it or you can pm me instead. If you have questions I'm happy to help in any way I can. Hope you'll plan to join us!
That's awesome! If you don't mind, could you pm me what hotel you'll be staying at and what time you expect to arrive Friday? Thanks and look forward to seeing you on the "American Riviera" aka the Central Coast.Got It!
Booked my hotel for Friday and Saturday Night
We'll take Rauders any way we can get them.Would you mind a dirty Rauder? Some at Knotts told me it is the dirtiest car they had ever seen. 57K though and I like that area.
