GODS HEAD EMBLEM SHIPMENT UPDATE​

The good news is.....​

The bulk of the orders are packaged. Half were shipped Friday and Saturday; with the other half shipping tomorrow, Monday, 20 March 2006.

If you are an individual who has ordered the 2.3 inch Sail Panel/Fender Emblems, you order will ship on Wednesday, 22 March 2006. This slight delay is due to the emblem completion date of Tuesday 21 March 2006.

We have three members from Canada who have ordered emblems. Your emblems will ship on Monday as well.

There are several individuals that we, CAR Motorsports have been attempting to contact. There are issues with the information on your order form. These issues are related to either unlegible information, credit card information, or address information. The list of names below represents those individuals who must contact us immediately to clear up these issues and have your emblem order shipped on Monday. Please do not delay in responding to the phone messages we have left for you. If you name is on the list below, call now.

We do have a limited number of emblem sets available for those members who did not purchase during the preorder period. Call us to directly to order emblems, the remaining sets will be sold on a first come first served basis. We are open throughout the weekend.

Steering wheel cover installed, rear emblem installed.
30 pound test monofilament worked well to get through the old adhesive, USE GLOVES!. The wd40 wasn't cuttin' it so I used a tad of acetone to remove the leftover adhesive, then (carefully) slapped her on!
Lookin' good! You guys with black cars are really gonna love it...my silver doesn't contrast as well with the bright chrome finish of the emblem.
But it sure beats the waterfall! I'm happy!
Now on to the front...
 
I don't have mine yet, but I wonder whether it comes with instructions to get the grille emblem off (or whether anyone on the board has any ideas about this)?

The grille emblem is just held on with a nut behind it...it's the trunk-lid emblem that's a little trickier...
 
I have not recieved mine yet,but I opened up the trunk and looked in with a flash light where the emblem is held.I can see the two post but I did not see any retaining nuts on them.

There are no retaining nuts, just two molded guide studs on either side of the center of the emblem. Work the fishing line side to side top to middle, then repeat from the bottom towards the middle.

Yep, my godshead set just arrived, along with a red S55 badge for the rear.

Wasn't home when the mailman delivered my package,:mad2: but left the parcel slip in my mail box so I can pick it up in the morning.....oh well, now I'll be restless all night long.:bigcry:
 
All I got today was an Email with tracking number, so I went out in the garage and removed my rear emblem with the fishing line worked great.
The gloves ,acetone are a must thanks Jim,I used a plastic putty knife once the acetone(nail polish remover) softened the leftover tape.
Lets see the pics for those of use still waiting.

Ditto....Missed the mailman.......the one day he decides to come early before i get home!!!!!!!!!!

Just picked mine up from the post office, and they are brilliantly gorgeous.....:coolman: WOW !!!:bows:

I didn't receive any instructions with mine...:confused: I'll just read up on the Thread the post is in. Thanks Rich:D
