Centerville Info

Aside from the lack of cooperation from the State Parks people, it was a good day.
It’s always good to see old friends and make new ones.
My thanks to everyone that made it. I’m looking forward to our next get together.
I hope everyone made it home safely, and like Maury said, post them pictures.

Well it was good to see you all even though our event was just a bit of a bust, hopefully next time we can do a little better.

I am not sure how this meet was a bust??? I had a great time, so did my wife Corina.

I am not sure what people were expecting, but I feel meeting up for an hour or two in the middle of now where is a cool idea.... I mean how was this meet different then the past two centervilles?

As I said before I will be putting together an Austin/San Antonio meet with Mike's help and we hope to make it a lot of fun and include some cool events. I will keep it budget conscious, so no worries.

Looks like fun, sorry I missed it but there was no way I could get out there yesterday. You guys had perfect weather, glad for that, maybe I can make it next year.

Patricia and I had a great time, good to see the members again. We took a quick show of hands for new members and there were many, that's always a good sign.

Cruzer (Maury) passed the Club's Presidential mantel back to the club. He has served us so well these many years, but family matters preclude him from devoting the time he would like toward events.

Don't worry, he is still an active member and probably will attend local SVT shows with us next year.

On an optimistic note, Let's think about another Two Rows Restaurant GTG in Mid Winter. We can wear out jackets, yeah, the one I get to wear two time a year. LOL.

In the Spring, probably after the Louisville Regional I'll propose an Over The Road driving event. This can be a Timed, three Check point (flag pick-up) driving experience that will Gage precision and navigation. About a two hour run somewhere scenic and central to all the groups.

Have a blessed thanksgiving and stay tuned to this forum.

Regards,

Sorry I missed it this year guys. Had a family situation and just couldn't get away. Looked like a beautiful day for it though. How many cars did you end up having there?

To Mr. Jones......

We had at least 17 Marauders, 1 Shelby GT 500, One Turbo GM, one truck, lot's 'o' people, good food and beautiful day. There may have been another GM.

See you around the Campus, Mr. Jones.
Stay tuned to the Forum.

Sam and I got home safely--ran a while with Matt. Thanks to all for making what could have been a wash-out a great day--hope all get home safely. I was the last to leave--the area was clean--thanks. Some one left a blue folding chair--I have it. OK you folks that took pics, get them posted. Thanks everyone who made this get-to-gather a success----hope to see you again, soon, Maury

Maury,

That chair belongs to us....the kids were bringing all the stuff from the picnic table and I guess they didnt think we had four chairs so they left that one there....this is the second time we have left a chair behind at a car event...the last one was a pink chair that was never found in San Angelo. Lesson learned...dont let the kids pack the car.....lol. Thanks and I will get it from you the next time I see you.

Mike
