Chicago Hts. Car Show and Burnout contest

The McDonalds I'm hoping to meet is on Hasted St. When you exit Bishop ford Exp ( I-94) go west on ( I-80, I-94 ) you exit on Halsted SB. When you exit on Halsted there's a toll (.30 ) and 2-3 miles there's Mc Donalds on your left at the light. I'm hoping for the same spot as last year on the grass in front of Bloom Township H.S. Brad should be posting soon.

Hi Everyone- I finally have the info and the schedule is as follows -

meet at the McDonalds at around 211th an Halsted. It is right on the corner of Halsted and Volmer road in Chicago Heights -Let's shoot between 11-11:30 AM.

11:30 we cruise together to the car show and burnout contest for registration. This is a large event and we need to cruise in together if we want to park together. No one will gurantee anything this year as last year it was so large but I am going to try and have one of the guys I know save us the spot we had last year by the high school. If we all come at once I dont see a problem. If you are going to be late just let us know and we can try to save a spot or two.

Registration is a $15 fee. This is for the car show and I dont know if it is extra for the burnout contest. Might want to bring a couple of extra dollars just in case. I know if you are going to do the burnout contest your car has to have valid plates, show proof of insurance and you need a valid DL. They are very picky about these items and the police do check!

12-2PM-Registration
1:30 Pm-First session of burnouts/holeshots
3 PM-Car Show awards presentations
4-6 PM-Last session of Burnouts/holeshots and I believe the burnout trophy is awarded right after.
9 Pm-Fireworks display

This is an awesome event and last year they had about 400 cars so it is very large. Bring some chairs/coolers/drinks etc. as it is a long day. If you are not on the list and you are coming to the event please reply to this post. The list I have from my memory so far is as follows:

1. Da Dark Jedi
2. UAW 588
3. JustBob
4. Motorhead 350
5. 1 Bad Merc
6. Ledzilla
7. Stevemarauder
8. ybbored

Brad, talked to John today and they are trying to keep all the cars that will be in burnout on the south end so they don't have to deal with cars passing thru people on the street. Might cause problems for you guys being at same spot. I think they will mark the cars with a B!
For those who have not been there where you do your burnout their is a road (Holeshot) that the cars run down pretty close to a quarter mile which gives a almost strip effect. "ONLY" Single car at a time. So no burnout? Fine take a run down the track instead.
Brad the Mayor heard Za-- might come so there will be extra police on hand just in case.
Ah don't be late or you'll be parking waaaaaaay out!

Your Mayor have the WRONG GUY... it's Motorhead350 aka Dom whom he should worry about. Dom can't be caught by the police, they can't even get his tags. TOO FAST!!!

Thanks Mike. Leon, got my Lynchburg Lemonades?:D Forecast is calling for mostly thirst and partly parched..........:P

Where the heck do I find this at???? I looked here on the SS and it's not to be found. If you know bring it and I'll pay you.

Just got back from Duke's and had a great time! Nice to see so many Chi-town Marauders -looking forward to a great event tomorrow. Dont be late as I hear it's going to be really big this year:0)

I will no longer be entering the burnout contest.

I am sorry guys, but the Marauder is the only car I can really depend on. If I break this thing I'm screwed. I was really looking forward to this, but need to play it wise for once. I will still be attending the car show all day and maybe into the night.

See you all tomorrow.
