Chrome Shifter

How many of you guys have chrome around the gear indicator on the center console? This seems to have been standard issue on CV Sports & LSE GMs

My Marauder came with this instead of the carbon Fiber looking piece. When I purchased mine new there were 2 identical cars with the exception of this.

I picked mine because I thought the chrome looked better!
 
David, you got one of the ultra-rare "Bling" options...:D

Seriously, I'm pretty sure there are one or two out there with a chrome shifter bezel...martyo has one, IIRC. During the switch from 300A to 300B a few miscellaneous parts were occasionally substituted on the assemby line.

Did yours still come with the carbon fiber on the dash, or was that something different also?
 
i f'd up my shifter one time cuz i spilt beer in it and it was all crunchy when i shifted. so when the dealership replaced it they put in a chrome bezel. any one can get one they came off the crown vics
 
My MM has the kind of carbon bezel. My MGM LSE has the chrome bezel, like any MGM LSE. So the thing might be rare on the MM, but it is a standard feature on all MGM LSE as well - I guess - on all CV LX Sport.

Same here.

Steve babcock said that these are "misbuilds."

Our cars are now very rare! :D

I prefer the chrome bezel over carbon fiber. When I get a MM, this will be one of my first mods...if I can find one.
 
"change-over" MM

Check your build date--I'll bet it is Oct-Nov '02--I have all the '03 300A standard equipment PLUS traction control and do-nut spare--listed as a 300B. I think my build date was 14 Oct '02.

It was at the first Long Island meet Terry brought the chip over and you putting it in and you remarked about how you had a crome shifter and no one else did:P
